Just for the Summer

Chapter 27

I just got back home. I tried to go to bed but my phone went off. It was my mom.

"See you in a few days!" She said.

I didn't want them to come back. My summer was perfect without them here. I groaned. Why did they have to ruin everything? I'll just stay with my friends. I dialed Abbie's number.

"Hello?"

"Hey. So my parents are coming back."

"I thought that they were going to be gone all summer!"

"I did too. I was wondering if I could use your spare room?"

"I don't know. The twins are getting seperate rooms..."

"Wait, they still have the same room?"

"Yeah. It's my moms way of 'ruining their lives'."

"Oh. Okay. I'll see if there is somewhere else I can stay."

"Ok. Bye."

We hung up. I knew that Serina would be home soon. I wondered if Bodi would need help with her. I dialed his number. He picked up on the first ring.

"Hey Bodi."

"Ya."

"You know how Serina is coming home soon?"

"Of course. What do you want?"

"Can I stay in one of your spare rooms? My parents are coming back."

"I don't need your life story. I guess. When will you bring your stuff?"

"How about today?"

"Okay."

"I'll help with stuff around the house. I'll pack. I'll be over in a few hours."

We hung up. I grabbed my suitcases and duffel bags. I fill them with clothes. It barely even made a dent in there. I had more clothes then I thought. I ran to the bathroom and grabbed my make up and contacts. I also grab my glasses, just in case. I shove them in. I decide that if I need anything I'll get come back and get it. I don't like to be at Chads house when his parents are home. His parents scares me.

I roll the duffels down the stairs. I carry the suitcase down trying not to trip. I carried the suitcase to the trunk of my Lexus LFA. I popped the trunk and set it in. I want back for the duffels. I set those in the back seat. I hopped in and drove down my drive way. I drove to Bodi's. I knocks and he answered. I took my duffels to the spare room. I went back for my suit case. I set it in my room. It started to fall so I let it.

The doorbell went off. It must be our friends coming to decorate. I answered. It was. They all came in. The kitchen counter was covered with decorations.
I grabbed the Welcome Home, Serina! banner.
After a few hours we were almost done. The rest would be done in the morning. I walked to my room.  I was going to change into comfy clothes. 

"Why aren't you staying with me?" Chad asked.

"Your parents scares me."

"Why?"

"I don't know. Your brother also creeps me out."

"How?"

"It doesn't matter." I look away. 

He walked over to me,"Why?"

"Just because."

I walked over to my bed and sit down at the edge. 

"You can tell me you know." His deep brown eyes looked into mine. 

"Honestly, it's nothing. I just don't like him."

"Okay. I got to get home. I'll see you tomorrow."

"See you tomorrow."
