Unexpectedly

Chapter 18: The Rival

Arianne is running back to school from a school supplies store.

Arianne: *runs really fast* (hurry up!! I'm gonna be late!!)

While she's running, she dumped with another girl.

Arianne: "oh my gosh, I'm so sorry." *helps the girl to stand up*
Girl: "oh no.. it's okay, I'm not really that hurt."
Arianne: "are you sure?"
Girl: "yeah."
Arianne: "well, I'd better go now. Bye!"
Girl: "okay, bye."

Arianne continued to run back to her school. When she arrived in the school, she immediately head to the Arts room.

Arianne: *gasping* "I-I finally got some scissors and glue!!"
Stephanie: "good job, Ari. Give that to them and help me design here."
Arianne: "okay."

She goes to a desk to look for her sketchbook. Then Erick stopped by the Arts room.

Erick: "umm.. have you seen Arianne?"
Girl1: "oh my gosh!! It's Erick!!!"
Girl2: "he's so handsome!!"
Girl3: "I think I'm gonna die!!"
Stephanie: "she's over there."

Erick go to where Stephanie's pointing at. Then he saw Arianne looking for something.

Arianne: "shit, where is it?! I swear I just put it here."
Erick: "you're looking for this?" *showing her sketchbook*
Arianne: "wha-.. where did you get this?"
Erick: "well...when you were putting your things in your locker. A girl went near you and asked you if you have any extra scissors and glue. After that you immediately run and you dropped this." *shows sketchbook* "so I picked it up and looked for you."
Arianne: "a-ahh... t-thank you.."
Stephanie: "Arianne! Just tell me when you're ready."
Arianne: "coming!"

She go to help Stephanie with the designs.

Stephanie: "you continue to design this okay? I'll deal with something."
Arianne: "o-okay."

While Arianne is busy about the design, Erick is observing her.

Erick: "what's that for?"
Arianne: "designs for Nutriton month. We are assigned to make the decorations and other designs."
Erick: "mmm... so you're a member of the Arts club.."
Arianne: "how can you tell?"
Erick: "if you're not a member.. then why are you here? Why are you helping the Arts club with the decorations? And also, even if you're not a member.. they'll ask you to be a member."
Arianne: "why would they even ask me?"
Erick: "because of your talent, I mean.. I've seen your drawings.. on your sketchbook."
Arianne: "wait, you look at my drawings?"
Erick: "yeah, what's wrong with that?"
Arianne: "n-nothing.."

Later, dismissal time. Arianne and Erick are about to go home, then a girl is approaching them.

Girl: "so... this is where you've been hiding.."
Arianne: (wait.. I've seen her before.. she's the girl I dumped into earlier)
Girl: "I've finally found you, Erick Andersen."
Erick: "so it's you, Cheryl Gomez."
Arianne: (he knows her? How? What's going on?)
