Chapter 19: Rejected Before?

Arianne: "Erick, I'll go to the school to meet up with Stephanie."
Erick: "why?"
Arianne: "it's about the Nutrition month.", "bye, I'll see you later."
Erick: "kay, bye."

Arianne left and in the afternoon, Clarissa came to their condo unit.

Clarissa: *opens the door* Arianne, it's time to party!!"

~moment of silence~

Erick is laying on the coach, watching tv.

Clarissa: "ummm.... okay, this is awkward.."
Erick: "she's not here."
Clarissa: "huh? Where is she?"
Erick: "she went to the school to do something." ,"so there's no reason for you to come here."
Clarissa: "oh.."

She is about to go outside but then, she close the door.

Clarissa: "erick..."
Erick: "hm?"

Then she go closer to him.

Clarissa: "tell me, do you... like my cousin?"
Erick: "what the heck? Why are you asking me that?"
Clarissa: "oh I don't know... maybe because you live in with her.."
Erick: "okay look, I moved in here because my mom wants me to. I didn't want this to happen okay? I'm not interested with her.. I'm not concerned about her."
Clarissa: "then why... did you comfort her when she cried?"
Erick: "what? When did I even do that to her?"
Clarissa: "don't you even try to fool me. I know, because Arianne told me about that"
Erick: "about what?"
Clarissa: "remember the time when she cried because her friends betray her? Christina and two other girls?", "Arianne was in her room crying, then you came in and comforted her." ," you even said to her 'don't worry, everything will be okay.. '."
Erick: "tsk! So what if I did that?"
Clarissa: "if you really didn't care for her... then why did you comforted her? Probably you would have just ignored her and head to school.. but you didn't. "
Erick: "geez.. what's with you?"
Clarissa: "fine.. I wont force you but please do me a favor .."
Erick: "what is it?"
Clarissa: "please don't hurt her or don't make her cry because of you. She'd already suffered enough.. and I don't want that to happen again."
Erick: "what do you mean by that?"
Clarissa: "she'd already suffered so much pain... and I don't want to see her cry again... because of a boy.", "well I guess that's all I have to say. Bye."

And then she left Erick trying to understand what she told him.

Erick: "because of a boy? What does she mean by that?"

Meanwhile, Arianne is finish with her work at the school. While she is walking, some guy tripped and spilled his shake on her jacket.

Arianne: "what the-"
Guy: "oh shoot!! I'm so sorry miss, I wasn't watching where I'm going." *tries to clean her jacket*
Arianne: "oh, no it's.. it's okay. I can do it myself."
Guy: "oh man, I'm really so sorry.", *offers his handkerchief * "here, use this."
Arianne: "are you sure?"
Guy: "yeah, I'm the one who should actually clean it."
Arianne: "no.. it's really fine with me. Don't feel bad about it."
Guy: "I'm terribly sorry."
Arianne: "hehehe it's fine okay?"
Erick: "hey, Arianne! Where are you?"
Arianne: "huh? Well I guess it's time for me to go. Bye."
Guy: "b-bye."
Arianne: *smiles* "hey Erick! I'm here."
Guy: (Erick? Is it really you?)

Arianne meet up with Erick, who was waiting for her. Then the guy sees him.

Guy: (so... it really is you.)

Meanwhile, Arianne and Erick..

Arianne: "hey."
Erick: "what happened to your jacket? "
Arianne: "oh some guy spilles his shake on me, but it's fine with me."
Erick: "where is he?"
Arianne: "he was just over there, but he probably left already."

When Erick is about to take a glance on him, the guy already turned his back and left.
So they continued to walk.

Arianne: "why did you come here?"
Erick: "it's really boring at the condominium and whenever I go outside, a lot of girls keeps screaming my name. It's kinda annoying."
Arianne: "you don't say.."

They arrived at the park, and sit on a bench, on the same spot before. They stared at the calm river and feel the cool breeze.

Erick: "I have a question."
Arianne: "hm?"
Erick: "have you ever... fall in love with someone?"
Arianne: " h-huh? Me? W-why are you asking that?"
Erick: "nothing... I just can't think of a topic to talk about."
Arianne: "I uh... I.. I don't know..."
Erick: "what do you mean 'you don't know'?"
Arianne: "I just don't know.. I'm not sure..."
Erick: "I can't believe it, even yourself can't read your own feelings."
Arianne: "s-shut up.."

While Arianne is trying to stop herself from blushing, Erick looked at her.
