Chapter 25: Confusion

After riding the ferris wheel, they decided to sit on a bench to rest.

Erick: "so... what do you think?"
Arianne: "of what?"
Erick: "the carnival."
Arianne: *gives a thumbs up and smiles* "the best experience I've ever had so far!"
Erick: "that's good to hear."
Arianne: "Its been a long time since I come to a carnival before..", "the last time I come here was when I'm with my parents."
Erick: "well, you're here again."
Arianne: *smiles* "thank you, Erick, for bringing me here."
Erick: *smiles back* "I'm sorry for what I've said yesterday."
Arianne: "it's okay, I've already forgive you."

A moment of silence~~

Arianne: "well.. that is awkward. I guess I'll just buy some ice cream, you want one?"
Erick: "Double Dutch."
Arianne: "okay, I'll be right back."

Arianne go to the nearest ice cream booth, while Erick is just sitting on the bench waiting for her. Then out of no where, someone called him.

Cheryl: "Erick!! Yoohoo!! It's me, Cheryl!! "
Erick: "shit! You again?!"
Cheryl: "hi Erick!! I missed you so much." *tries to hug him*
Erick: *rejects her hug* "well I don't."
Cheryl: "hahaha!! You're so funny."
Erick: "could you stay away from me!! I already told you that I don't like you."
Cheryl: "I think Erick's lying."
Erick: "what?!"

Meanwhile, Arianne finally found an ice cream booth. She was about to order, but then the other customer sounded familiar.
It's Grey!

Grey: "one rocky road, please."
Arianne: (!) "Grey?"
Grey: "A-Arianne?"

After ordering their ice creams, Arianne and Grey are having a quick chat while walking.

Grey: "woah, I didn't expect a girl with a body like yours would eat two, large ice creams."
Arianne: "huh? Oh.. no, the other one is not mine. It's for Erick."
Grey: "Erick.... Andersen?"
Arianne: "yeah."
Grey: "w-wait, you're with him? Right now?"
Arianne: "uh yeah, what's with that?"
Grey: "nothing... it's just weird that you're dating with the guy who made you cry.."
Arianne: *her face flushed in red* "w-what?! N-no, it's not what you think. We're not dating."
Grey: "oh... is that so? Sorry. My point is that he made you cry, and you're hanging out with him."
Arianne: "i-it's okay with me, I already forgive him. And actually, we're here at the carnival because he wanted to make it up to me."
Grey: "wow, for the first time, he's being kind to a girl."
Arianne: "what are you talking about?"
Grey: "you haven't noticed? He's kinda mean to girls, like when we were still classmates in our old school in the U.S."
Arianne: "well, I kinda noticed that even know.. but m-maybe he already changed that kind of attitude."
Grey: "Arianne, may I ask you a question. Do you.... like him?"
Arianne: "w-what? No! Never."
Grey: "I mean, by the way you talk about him, it's like-"
Arianne: "look, I'm not in love with him, okay?"
Grey: "what love? I only said like, not love."
Arianne: *speechless and her face is flushed in red.*
Grey: "opps! Looks like I've revealed something."
Arianne: "s-shut up.."
Grey: "it's okay to like him or whatever, but don't take the way how he treats you too personally."
Arianne: "why?"
Grey: "hmm...let's just say you'll get hurt if you do. Back when we were still 2nd year highschool, the people at our campus used to call him the heartbreaker. You see, he had rejected a lot of girls that confessed to him before. So I just want to give you a piece of advice."

It made Arianne to think deeply.

Back to Cheryl and Erick...

Erick: "can you just... stop! Why can't you just accept the fact that I don't like you!!"
Cheryl: "I won't give up!! I know someday, you'll will like me."
Erick: "bitch, what do I need to do?"

Erick grab her shoulders and pulled her closer to him.

Erick: "I'm gay."
Cheryl: "...... and I'm a lesbian."
Erick: "what? No, I'm really gay."

At that time, Arianne had returned from the ice cream booth, and his with Grey. She saw Erick's face close to Cheryl's. It broke her heart.

Arianne: "w-why do I f-feel in p-pain?" *talks to herself*
Grey: "huh?"

The longer she looks at them, the more anger she felt.

Her eyes are starting to fill with tears. She's starting to crush the ice cream cone. Then she snapped.

Arianne: "y-you bastards!!" *throws the ice cream and runs away*
Grey: "A-Arianne.."

She throw the ice creams to the ground and run away. Erick was about to follow her, but Cheryl stopped him.

Erick: "oh god, what now?!"
Cheryl: "don't follow her, why not spend the night with Cheryl?"
Erick: "I told you I'm gay!"
Cheryl: "then prove it!"

Erick found that difficult to prove, but then he saw Grey, who was about to chase Arianne.

Erick: (oh you're not going with her.)

He grabbed Grey and compressed his lips to his lips. Grey and Cheryl were in total shock. They are speechless, while Erick is embarrassed with what he did to his enemy.

After that he immediately looked for Arianne, while Grey and Cheryl were still in complete shock.

Cheryl: "h-he's g-gay.... I fell in love with a gay!!!! This. Is. Unacceptable!!!!"
Grey: (t-the fuck?! He just....... The fuck is going on with this world?!)
