The luggage landed with a small splash. I sighed and picked it up out of a puddle. The cab driver drover off and Liam and I walked into the lobby.

“Here. I got it.” Liam said.

He grabbed it and looked at me with a smile. I guess he was okay now. We walked up to the check in desk. A man with a heavy, German accent spoke to Liam. As I looked around, I felt another eerie presence. As if someone was watching me. I leaned against the counter and looked around. Everyone seemed normal. A family, a couple, a few single people here and there. My eyes ran rampid over people. No one really striking the appearance. Liam slipped a kiss on the top of my head.

“Come on, love.” he said.

The whole plan, when in public, was that we were a couple. It might’ve already looked like it but it’d put us off from sneaky eyes. We got to the elevator and rode to the seventh floor. Our room was the last one, making it the suite. As we walked in and looked around, I noticed the pool was right below us, outside the window. Necessary for an emergency escape. That’d be terrible…jumping from seven stories.

“Okay. So, what’s to order? I’m starving.” Liam said.

We found the menu near the door and we ordered some pasta and water. Remembering what John had said about new weapons, I searched the room head to toe. I found a suitcase behind the head board of the bed. I brought it into the main area and sat it on the table. Inside were four guns, two knives, a grenade, a signal for a helicopter, and a couple new earpieces. Perfect. Liam smiled as he held the helicopter thing.

“You know what this means, right?” he said.

He was looking at me with the tracker in his hand.

“What?” I asked.

“I get to fly it.”

My mouth dropped with a smile. Liam flying a helicopter? Oh dear…

“You learned that in training?” I smiled.

“Yeah, actually.”

I couldn’t believe it. I reached for the other gun. I had two Desert Eagles, a Sig Sauer p226, and a Glock 19. I’m surprised that John got us this good of stuff. We suddenly heard a knock at the door. I grabbed everything, put it all away and pushed it under the couch. Liam got the door.

“Food service!” A lady smiled.

We took the food and tipped her. As soon and the door closed, there was another knock. Liam gave me a confused look and opened the door.

“Can I help you?” Liam asked.

I stood up and walked closer to the door.

“Excuse me but I’m looking for a John Middleton.” The man said.

We knew what he was talking about and let him in. I bit my lip. This guy was attractive. I mean, super attractive. He had a thick British accent and was about as tall as Liam. Brown hair, blue eyes. And I get to work with him. He looked me up and down.

“So you’re the action pack? I’m Louis.” He said.

“Jora. This is Liam. He’ll be working with the earpieces and puzzles for us.” I said.

They shook hands. I looked Louis over. He was really fit and his t-shirt fit him well. He walked around.

“So uhh, did John tell you when we were to start this project?” Liam said.

I walked over and sat on the couch, eating my pasta. Louis joined me on the opposite end.

“Nope. I’m assuming tomorrow. Maybe in the evening. Let’s hope he calls.”

“Did you hear about the girl? Sydney?” I asked.

Louis’ eyes shot to me and he stared at me. Like I looked him over.

“Yeah. It’s scary. I had talked to her once but that’s it. She seemed nice.”

I nodded and went back to eating. Liam was uneasy and was sat back, tapping his fingers on the chair. It was silent. Awkward almost. It was a bit off with another guy in the room. But I’m glad he’s here to help. Thinking about the mission gave me goosebumps. It was a bit nerve racking but I knew we could do this.

After eating, I went and changed into my pajamas. Yoga pants and a hoodie. Louis made himself at home to get to know us better. While changing, Louis and Liam stirred up a conversation. A bit of their life was shared then Liam brought my name up. I tried to makeout the muffled words. It stopped and Louis spoke up.

“You two together?” he asked.

“No…” Liam sounded like he almost said something else.

I opened the door and walked in. Louis shot a smile and stood up.

“Well, uhh, I’m next door if you two need anything. See you in the morning.” he said.

He made his way out and closed the door. Liam was silent.

“He seems pretty chill.” I said, sitting down.

“Yeah.”

“You okay?” I asked.

“Yeah. Yeah, I’m fine. You look beautiful by the way.” he stood up.

“What? No, I don’t. I dont have any makeup on.”

We both had gotten up. Liam changed into his sweats and a shirt. I went into the small kitchen and looked around in the cabinets. I found a lot of food actually. Nothing expired. Some packets of hot cocoa mix were in reach so I grabbed some.

Liam came in and hovered over me as I poured the mix in. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me close to him. My heart was racing. The feel of his body close to me lit a fire. I finished and put my hands on his. He leaned his head down and kissed my cheek.

“You really are beautiful…” He whispered.
