The Nanny Job Ch.13

I finished wrapping all the presents and started packing my belongings, I had a whole big folder full of drawings that all the Ziva had given me. I was really happy I decided to help out for the week, I was defiantly going to visit again. In two days I'm going to go back to the Adam's house.

Cindy had come earlier and said they were going to have an early Thanks Giving dinner, because some of the workers weren't going to be here, so tonight I was going to give out all the presents.

I helped bake for the big dinner a few cakes and the cooks made turkey, ham, mash-potatoes, and vegetables. When I was all done cooking and baking, I took a long shower and I let Vicky one of the girls curl my hair, tonight I was planning on taking a big group photo, so I tried to look nice.

When it was dinner time, the whole cafeteria was buzzing with excitement, when dinner started the children ate happily.

When everything was cleaned I called all the children to the living room and the adults came too, I had many bags full of present. "Ok, is everyone here?!" I holler making sure to get everyone's attention, they all responded, "Well does anyone know why I called you here?" I asked, they all shook their heads, I smiled at them and started calling names and gave them their presents, "Now don't open any of them until I pass out all of them ok? Oh and please throw away your garbage!" I say, 'Ok, Yes ma'am' was their response. When I was done passing them all out, they all opened their presents and from the looks on their faces they liked them. I had also given the workers presents too.

I asked them if they would take a picture with me and they excitedly agreed. One of the lady's took a bunch of pictures for us and before they went to bed I read them 'First Thanksgiving'. Before I went to bed Felix called me and said he was going to come over tomorrow. I went to bed and fell into a deep sleep.

I woke up and it was 6:00am, I took a shower and got ready for the day, Felix hadn't said when he was going to come but he did say to dress nicely. I asked Vicky to curl my hair again and you didn't have to ask her twice, she ran straight to her room and got her curler, sat me down/ pushed me down and started pulling on my hair. When my hair was all done I thanked her and looked through my little stash of clothes that I had brought, for something descent to wear.

It was around late noon Felix had called and said that he was coming, I had told Cindy that I wasn't going to be there for dinner. When Felix came he had a nice button collared shirt and a pair of khakis, his wavy blond hair wasn't unruly it was actually nicely styled, "Felix!" I exclaim, I hugged/jumped on him, "I can't breath, need air." he says dramatically and pretending to gasp for air. I laughed and jumped off while stumbling. "It's good to see you too. There's no need to try and kill me." he says jokingly.

Felix opened the door for me like a gentleman and we drove, I didn't even know where we were going, "Hey were are we going?" I ask, "It's a surprise, you'll see soon." he said creepily, I hit his arm and pouted at him, "Really, Felix I'm not joking, where are we going?" I ask again, he shakes his head and stays quite. I cross my arms and keep my pout on because I'm mature.

I ended up turning on the radio and started singing terribly on purpose just to see what Felix would do, when 'Animals' by Maroon 5 came on I started singing, in the middle of the song, I was cut off by Felix, "Please stop my ears their bleeding! Do you even know who sings this?" he says cutting me off, I turned down the music and looked at him, "Who doesn't know who sings this! It's freaking Maroon 5!" I say, "Ok, good let's keep it that way." he says with a sly smirk, he looks my way to see my reaction and I glared at him, I stuck my tongue out at him. After that I didn't sing anymore Felix had killed my singing mood.

I don't know how long we were driving, but it felt like forever, we finally came to a stop and when I looked up from my phone I couldn't believe my eyes, I turned my head and looked at Felix he gave me a sheepish smile and got out of the car, he opened my door and I snapped out of it. "Felix!!! Why did you bring me hear??" I say panicking, "Common, I told Joy I was bring a very special guest with me! We would want to disappoint her, would we?" he says teasingly, I give him a deathly glare, but he didn't even care he grabbed me by the legs and dragged me out of the car, he quickly shut the door and locked it. "Well looks like you'll have to go inside..." he says shrugging, oh he'll be paying.

As we walked in, I was so nervous and Felix's death grip didn't help he was holding my arm making sure I wouldn't make a run for it. I saw Joy talking and laughing with a bunch of other woman, they all had lovely gowns, everyone here was dressed so nicely, I felt so out of place. Felix led me towards the game room, there I saw Ashton in suit running around with a group of boys, he looked so adorable, Ulloa and Tesla had the same exact dresses. Finn was holding Tesla and the lady Finn was talking to was holding Ulloa. I slowly slipped out of Felix's grip and made my way to the door, right when I was about to leave I felt someone tug on my shirt when I looked down I saw it was Ashton, his whole face brightened up when he smiled, "Miss Abby!! You came back!" he said happily, I couldn't help but feel a bit guilty, "Hey buddy, I'm just going to uh go somewhere, why don't you play with your friends?" I say, adding a forced smile, he face instantly dropped I felt so bad right now. "Why?!?" he whines, "Ok, listen I'll stay for a little, but we're going to play a game, it's called 'Stay Away From Grandma (Joy), Dad (Finn), and Felix.'" I say, he squealed excitedly and put his finger up to his lips, saying "Ssshhhhhhh!" maybe this wasn't going to that bad.

Ashton and I played for a few minutes and I had convinced myself that this plan would work, but that was short lived when Finn saw us army-crawling across the floor Ash ran full retreat without me and Finn just laughed like a jerk and Felix had come a long and joined in his laughter, "So Abby, you decided to come to the party? How's your family? I hope they didn't kick you out..." he says jokingly, him and Felix laugh at his stupid joke, while I just shake my head, "My family did kick me out." I say, they stop laughing in an instant, I started laughing when they gave me the are-you-for-real-look, "I'm sorry but their doing great and Felix actually dragged me here." I answer, "Ok, well I'm going to find Joy I have something to tell her so yeah I'm just going to leave-" Felix says and runs off, "How have the children been?" I ask, "Oh their alive, their fine I guess? How are you?" he asks, "I'm fine my whole week has been busy, but it's been great." I say.

We talked about the week and Felix had surprisingly came back with Joy right behind him suddenly I felt kind of nervous. "Oh dear, why didn't you tell me you were coming? My goodness I'm so glad I had gotten that extra dress, Felix had said, he was going to bring someone special, if I'd known it was you I would have had more time to pick out a better dress, but I'm sure this'll do." while she was talking she was dragging me towards one of the guest rooms, she opened the closet and pulled out a beautiful red dress, she also brought out some cute flats that matched, "Here we are try them on, I think you'll look fabulous, go on now, we can't waist time." she says pushing me into the bathroom.

It took forever to put on the dress it was like a carpet dress and the flats were comfortable. Joy had insisted that I put on some red lipstick and she even tried to do my eyes, but I told her I touch my eyes to much. Joy kept on gushing about how I looked. We walked down the stairs and when we went into the living room I started to feel people staring, whenever I would catch their eyes I'd smile politely.

Joy had introduced me to many ladies that I didn't even remember half of their names, when Joy wasn't looking I sneaked away and ran to the kitchen, I plopped myself down right on one of the chairs and shook my head, "UHHHH! This is all Felix's fault! Curses." I say to myself, "What's all my fault?" Felix says popping out of nowhere and shoving his face with cake, "Ugh speaking of the devil, he shall arrive..." I say, looking up and glaring at him, "This is all your fault!" I hiss angrily and point to my appearance, when he was done shoving his face he looked up at me and his eyes widened in surprise. "Wow, if this is all my fault, I think I did a pretty good job!" he says in and impressed tone. I shook my head and left the kitchen, right now all I wanted to be doing was laying in bed relaxing, but no I'm stuck here!
