Today was Saturday, Finn had told me that he and Joy were going to spend the day with the children. I was going to stay home I didn't really mind that much, I had a whole day all to myself I didn't even know what I was going to do. I spent the whole morning in the library but I didn't read anything, I thought about what Joy had told me yesterday, I would have never guessed Finn had a sister.I also had questions about Finn's children, they hardly look like him and he's never talked about their mother, I had so many questions that I couldn't ask which was very disappointing. I hardly know anything about any of the Adam family, but then again I wasn't suppose to pry in their business, so I'll stop wondering about their private life.
It was around 10:00am and I had finally planned what I was going to do, I had even made a whole list.
MY PLANS FOR TODAY!!.
>Make myself a fruit-bowl and explore the garden.
<Read a book.
>Grocery shopping.
<Bake the triple chocolate coffee cake.Yeah looking at my list it's pretty lame, but I was really excited about the Triple Chocolate Coffee Cake, I wanted to make this for Joy, this was going to be her last day here, so I wanted to make it nice and sweet. Finn told me she loved chocolate and coffee, so I hope she'll enjoy this.
I made myself a fruit-bowl and explored the garden. It was stunning, even though it was freezing I loved it, as I walked through the path I saw so many flower patches, my favorites were the roses, I passed underneath an arch that was there was vines all over it. It was beautiful.
When I finished exploring the garden I went inside to get ready for grocery shopping, I crossed reading a book off my list, I might do that later. I bundled up into something simple it was quite chilly outside. I walked to one of the grocery stores nearby, it was about a 15min walk, I got a lot of vegetables, some meat, and ingredients for the cake. I spent half an hour just looking at all the food, I love grocery shopping more than clothes shopping.
It was already 12:00ish, when I got home. I put all the groceries away and got ready to bake. Step 1: Put my hair up, Step 2: Wash my hands, Step 3: Put on an apron (optional), Step 4: Get everything you will need (your ingredients and your measuring cups), Step 5: Measure all your ingredients, etc.
I hardly follow my Steps, I usually get things as needed, I know I'm very organised. I mixed everything together and put my pans into the oven, then I started the icing. All the chocolate cake layers were done, they needed to cool down. Next was the icing I was all done with it, all I had to do was wait. I was bored of waiting for the cake even though it had come out a few minutes ago, so instead of waiting I went to read a book.
I started re-reading 'Maximum Ride' I was on the third book, I thought it was interesting. When I finished ha, I figured the layers were cooled. I iced the first layer with the coffee icing and repeated that until they all were iced. I put all the layers together and iced them together, I put my beautiful creation into the fridge. Finn said they would be home around dinnertime, I had everything set and ready.
When they came home Felix came too. As they talked and joked around, I got out the cake and started cutting pieces, Felix helped sever the pieces out, "My goodness, darling this looks delicious! Did you make this?" she ask in a surprised tone, I nodded and smiled at her expression, "MMHHH! How do you know how to make all these things?" Felix says shoving his face with cake, "Well I make it with chocolate and you want to know my secret ingredient?" I asked Felix, his head shot up and he had a bug-eyed expression, I couldn't help but laugh, "Abby! Come on I wanna know!!!" he says excitedly, he sounded like Ash right now, I couldn't help but keep laughing.
