"He.. He um." I said, hesitating
"He what?" She said softly.
I grabbed my water and drank it to stall on answering her question.
She grabbed my arm softly and whispered "is everything ok? Did he hurt you?"
I looked at her in her pretty blue eyes and nodded.
She slowly let go of my arm and sat back on the couch.
"MAX!" She yelled
"No. Please no. No no no. Please!" I said breaking in to tears. "You can't do this." I said grabbing her arm as she stood up.
"I'm going to help you. Just stay here." She said smiling. She softly kissed me on the forehead as if I was one of her own.
She wiped my tears and continued to get up.
"Max. Sophie." She yelled up the stairs.
Almost in sync they said "yes grandma."
"Come down here right now!" She yelled once again up the stairs.
I heard footsteps coming down the stairs each one giving my chills.
"Yes grandma." Said Max.
"Can we talk outside please." She talk pointing to the door.
"Yeah. Grandma." He said smiling.
"Sophie you stay here with Caymen please."
"Ok grandma." She said slowly walking to me.
"I'll meet you out there. Just let me get something real quick. Ok hun?" She said to Max
"Ok." He said heading to the door.
She quickly walked to me. "Caymen. I'll try my best to make him go to the store. But Sophie you have to promise not to tell him anything. Ok?"
"Whats going on grandma?" She said worriedly.
"I don't have time to talk about it. Just don't tell him anything." She said waking quickly to the door, grabbing something from the kitchen before she walks out.
"Caymen. Do you know whats going on?" Sophie said looking sharply in my eyes.
" I don't Sophie."
