VIC’S POV
It must’ve took me 30 minutes to push Jessie out from our house after Kellin and his mom left. I was really hurrying and I literally want her out, I don’t want her or anyone to ruin my good mood. To be quite honest, I wasn’t expecting that to happen. I once again saw the different side of Kellin but now, it’s real. I know that none of us were high and we’re both kind of sane that time. Although it was most probably just the hormones.
Kellin’s POV
I excitedly woke up the next day knowing that I would most probably see Vic today. Well, he said he’ll see me soon. I just do not know how soon is soon. Let me just remind you, this is Vic. Last time he told me that he’ll see me ‘soon’ he showed up in my room 5 minutes after saying that.
I rolled off from my bed and went straight to my bathroom to take a shower.
--
“Take care!” I called after my mom as she started the car’s engine.
This is actually the first time that I got up by myself, not being woke up by the obnoxious knock of my mom. Maybe I’m just too excited to see Vic today.
I did my daily morning routine, getting food from the table, eating in front of the TV while flicking the channels.--
“6:48 pm” I read to myself as I took glance at the clock hanging on the wall. I’ve been lying on our couch since I’ve finished eating my breakfast this morning. To be honest, I’ve been checking on the clock every 5 minutes. I’ve been waiting for Vic to knock or barge in to our door. I mean, he said he’ll see me soon. I’ve called his phone just one time but he didn’t answer so I assumed that he was busy or sleeping or something so I didn’t bother to call him again. But that was 3 hours ago. It wouldn’t hurt if I try to call him again, right?
I shakily dialed Vic’s number and I nervously waited for him to pick up.
5 rings and he still hasn’t answered. Just when I was about to hang up, I got connected to his phone.“Hello who’s this?” A high-pitched voice answered.
“Uh, it’s Kellin.. Vic?”
“Oh, you’re Vic’s friend from last night. This is Jessie. What do you want?”
I knew that annoying voice was familiar. As soon as I heard her voice, it instantly made me cringe. Ugh, I hate her so much. But, why’s Vic’s phone with her?
“Hello?” My thoughts was disturbed by the annoying voice.
“Um, is Vic there?” I hesitantly asked.
“See, he’s kinda busy-“ But before she could even finish her sentence, she was cut off by a familiar voice.
“Give me my phone, Jessie” I heard Vic that I assume was nearly approaching Jessie’s direction. I heard Jessie chuckle and tease, saying that she wants ‘something’ before she would give back the phone.
The whole time I was just listening to the teasing of Jessie.
“Just give me my damn phone!” Vic snappily said.“Hello? Kellin? Yeah, sorry ‘bout that. Why’d you call?”
“Um, j-just, you know.” I didn’t really know what to say. I don’t want to sound too clingy though.
“Just wanted to, um,”
“To what?” Vic said, sounding very impatient. Why does he sound so.. cold? Or did I just over think things? I’m so confused and frustrated at the same time.
“Where are you?” I don’t know why, but that’s the first question that popped in to my mind.
“My house. Why?”
