The day is half-way through already. It actually feels like time passed by faster than usual. A very huge part of me wasn’t excited at all and the tiniest part was flooding with nervousness and regret. Nervousness because I do not want to see Vic. He’s been calling me all day and I haven’t picked up any of his calls. Regret because why did I even agreed on going to this vacation. Shit.

I stayed in our living room as I wait for my mom. Our stuff were all set and you could say that I am physically ready to go but mentally, no. Vic left me atleast 8 voice mails and 18 text messages today, I answered none of them. I am still pissed off over the fact that he made me wait for him all day. And to make things worse, he’s with that Jessie.  I could feel my jaw tighten as I think about them. Maybe I should just pushed my thoughts away and actually try to ‘enjoy’ this little vacation.

VIC’S POV

Me, my dad and Mrs. Quinn all got out from our car as we stopped infront of the Quinn’s house. We were about to pick up Kellin and their stuff for the little vacation that we’re having this weekend. I’ve been calling and texting Kellin all day but apparently, he hasn’t returned any of it. We haven’t talked since yesterday, when he called me while Jessie was in our house. We didn’t really talked that much because he immediately hanged up.

I followed Mrs. Quinn and my dad as they entered the house.

“Are you ready?” Kellin’s mom said as she gave her son a very warm smile. I too walked in and gave Kellin a smile but he just rolled his eyes on me as he shrugged his shoulders. I wonder what has gotten in to him. My dad helped Mrs. Quinn with her bags and I’ve decided to approach Kellin and give him a hand with his.

“Here, let me help you.” I said as I leant to grab his bag but before I could even do that, he pushed my hand away.

“Nope. I can do it.” He said as he grabbed his two bags and quickly tried to catch up with his mom.

“Are you sure you don’t need my help?” I hesitantly asked him as I scratched the back of my head.

“Yup. I would never need your help. Ever again.” He replied coldly.

I got so confused. He’s acting all cold and stubborn towards me.

“Let me help you with that, Kellin.” I heard my dad as Kellin approached the car.

“Thanks, Mr. Fuentes.” He replied as he handed his bag to my dad.

What? I offered him help but he declined me. I knew he couldn’t lift his bags on his own. Kellin’s pretty thin and he’s not that strong compared to me. I mean, yeah, he’s quite taller than me but I am pretty much stronger than him. Why’d he have to be cold? Kellin and my dad jumped in to the car while I waited for Kellin’s mom to finish on locking their front door.

“Um, Mrs. Quinn” I uttered as she finishes doing the last lock. She just uttered a small ‘mmhm’ as a reply.

“What happened to Kellin?” I continued. “He seemed a little um, off today.”

Kellin’s mom turned around and lead the way to our car, putting her arm around my shoulder. “I don’t really know, actually. This morning he seemed so happy and excited. He even woke up a head of time than usual; which was pretty weird. Usually, I would have to knock several times before he could get up from bed.”

I was just looking at the ground as Mrs. Quinn opened the car door for me.

“Thanks.” I said as she hopped in to the front seat, right next to my dad.

I saw Kellin sitting there, untangling his earphones, looking all annoyed and pissed off.

“Oh great.” I heard him mutter as he looked up at me with his vicious glare.
