Scorose: My Thorn and My Scorpion

Chapter 2

Rose
The party has already started and I'm still up here, in my room, waiting for Alice to get ready.

"Come on Alice! You are taking forever" I shout at her since she is in the bathroom.

"I just want to look nice is all Rosie!" She says back.

"Yeah. For Albus!" I shout back as well as giggle. She then opens the door suddenly and I stop giggling.

"What!?" She questions me throwing me a stern glare.

"I said you want to look good for Albus" I begin. "I know you like him and he likes you too, but why didn't you tell me?"

"I'm sorry Rosie, it's just he's your cousin and you two are very close. Now I think of it, I don't understand why I didn't tell you. You are my best-friend. I'm sorry"

"It's okay. I would have forgiven you even if you didn't say that huge speech!" I reply laughing. She then slaps me playfully on the shoulder.

"Right lets go, Rosie" and with that we leave. As soon as I open the door to leave the music floods my ears. Me and Alice begin walking down the stairs from our dorm. There are people everywhere. Dancing, singing and...snogging.

"Alice! Rose!" I hear my cousin,Albus, shout as he waved his hands to guide us into his direction. Scorpius was standing with him, also waving.

"Hey guys!!" I say.

"Hiya girls" Scorp says. All of us then make our way to the dance floor and begin dancing.

"I'm gonna go and get a drink" Al says.

"Me too" Scorpius says "be back girlies!"

"Bye!" I shout as they walk away.

"This is a awesome party" Alice says.

"I agree with that" I reply.

"Rose?" She says.

"Yes Alice?"

"Do you think Albus likes me?" She asks.

"Oh yasss, he definitely likes you!"

"Definitely likes who?" Albus asks walking back over.

"Oh nothing" I say.

"Okay then" he begins "wanna dance Alice?"

"Yes please!" She answers. They walk away leaving me and Scorpius alone.

"They like each other" Scorp states.

"You got that right" I reply. He laughs. "What's so funny?"

"You"

"What?" I ask staring up at him.

"You, Rosie. You. You made me laugh"

"I'm just a very funny person, then?" I said laughing.

"Yeah" he agreed, also laughing.

The night went on and the party was still in action. It was now 22:32.

"Hey Rose" someone said and I turned around to find out who.

"Oh hey Kieran, what's up?" I ask.

"Do you wanna dance?" He asked me.

"Yeah, sure why not? Later guys" I then left my three friends off with Kieran to the centre of the dance floor.

"Rose?" He asked.

"Yeah Kieran" I said and stopped dancing.

Kieran then did something I wouldn't even think he would do.

He kissed me.

I enjoyed the kiss. People wolf whistled, cheered and clapped. We broke away at the same time and stared into each other's eyes before something else caught my eye. Scorpius was walking out of the room.

"Will you just wait, one minute" I said running out the door after Scorpius.

"Scorpius! Scorp!" I shouted hoping to find him. I did.

"Oh hey Rose" he said naturally.

"Where are you going?" I asked.

"Just back to my dorm, really tired" he answered.

"Scorpius, what's wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing Rosie, okay? Go back and have fun at the party with Kieran" I hugged him. My arms around his neck and his around my waist. He pulled away.

"Well, I'll see you tomorrow" I said.

"Yes. Bye Rosie" he said and walked away. I then turned and made my way back to the party as an overwhelming amount of guilt fell around me .

I woke up to a tapping on my window. There was an owl. I got out of bed and saw that Alice wasn't there. I checked the time. 8:14. Breakfast will end soon. I opened the window took the letter and placed it on my desk to read later. I then went to my wardrobe and found some clothes to wear. Once I was dressed I ran down to the great hall. As I walked to the great hall, all that was on my mind was the events of last night. Kieran. Scorp. Kissing Kieran. It was a good kiss and I like Kieran but do I like him as more than a friend. I'm not sure. To be honest I don't even know where our relationship stands after last night. He obviously likes me but do I like like him. I'm really not sure at all. I arrive at the great hall and go to the Slytherin table where Scorp, Al and Alice are sat.

"Hey guys" I say sitting next to Scorp.

"Hey, how are you sleeping beauty" Scorp says with a laugh.

"Tired" I say.

"How late did you stay up Rosie?" Alice asks.

"Well, when I got back the party had died down and I told everyone who was still there I was really tired, which I was, I was going to sleep. Which also included Kieran. So I actually wasn't that far behind you Ali. I just struggled getting to sleep" I say.

"Okay, well anyway we should tell you Kieran was looking for you earlier. So you probably should go and find him" Al says.

"Oh thanks guys, anyway I'll see you later" I say grabbing to bread rolls, they all look at me "what I haven't eaten yet!" I then walk out of the great hall eating and looking for Kieran.

Hope you guys enjoyed this part. Sorry I haven't updated in a LONG time, for that I am deeply sorry!! I have just been really busy and trying to plan out a plot for the story, which I hope I have nearly finished. Anyway remember to vote and comment, love you all. Thank you again!
