Chapter 8

Scorpius' POV
It's around a week later, and it's Friday. Though today is not just any old Friday, it's the Friday that I ask Rose Weasley two very important questions.

Rose got out of the hospital wing on Monday, she was in there for a whole week and was slowly going stir crazy until we finally persuaded Madam Rilot that she is fine and able to go back to lessons.

I really missed her in that week she was stuck in the hospital wing, though I did visit her everyday in the morning and the evening. Sometimes I'd sneak in some food from either breakfast or dinner because she said, and I quote, 'the food in here is absolute shit'. That definitely made me laugh.

But it was also good that Rose was stuck in the hospital wing for a week. It gave me, and the whole Weasley-Potter clan , time to prepare for today. Everything had to be perfect and the girls have not shut up about it, making me even more nervous than I already am.

I walk into the great hall and go and sit at the Gryffindor table where Al and everyone else is, everyone except Rose and Alice. Even though me and Al are in Slytherin and we should sit at the Slytherin table, we don't care and neither do anyone else in the school. As soon as I sit down I'm bombarded with questions like 'how are you doing?', 'are you nervous?', 'are you okay?'.

"Guys leave him" Al says.

"I'm alright, really nervous though" I say.

"It's alright to be nervous mate" Fred says and his smacks a hand on the back of my shoulder.

"Yeah just don't get too worked up" James says.

"Okay" I say.

"And you better not break my sisters heart Malfoy" Hugo says.

"Yeah you'll be dead in minutes" Fred says "seconds if uncle Ron's about" everyone laughs, except for me. I'm too nervous to joke about Roses dad killing me, and just thinking about Roses dad killing me makes me even more nervous.

"Hey guys" Rose says coming up behind me, walking on her crutches.

"Hi" we all say in response. Alice gives me a thumbs up from behind Rose, and I help Rose sit down next to me.

"How is everyone this morning?" Rose asks. There's a chorus of replies and Al just laughs and keeps tapping me. "What's wrong Al?" Rose asks, and Al just continues to laugh harder. Rose looks at me as if to day 'what's wrong with him?' And I just shrug my shoulders.

After about 10 minutes we're all finished and heading up to our first class, but all I can think about is how lunch is going to go today. Will she say yes? I bloody hope she does.

It's lunch time. The time that I have been dreading and yet looking forward to at the same time all day.

I make my way up to the top of the hall as Roses cousins tell everyone to keep to the sides and just watch. I grab the huge bouquet of red and white roses, cliché I know, and wait at the top of the hall.

Alice kindly said she would keep Rose distracted for a little while and prevent her from coming to the hall, for what she thinks is just a normal lunch, straight away. And I think that I have the toughest job, Alice has got it harder than me. Keeping Rose away from food has got to be painful and extremely hard task to do.

Just when everyone has filled into the hall and waiting does the enormous double doors to the great hall open and reveal a stunningly beautiful Rose Weasley.

She looks straight down the hall and looks into my eyes and I just smile and begin to walk to her.

She holds one hand to her face and the other is helping her stand. As soon as I reach her she removed her hand from her face and throws it around my neck, pulling me down to her height and giving me a hug. I instantly put my arms around her waist and hug her back. When we pull apart I stand up straight a prepare to tell her what I've been planning to say for the past week. But I can't. I had it all planed out, and I can't say it. So I just let the words fall out my mouth.

"I love you Rose Weasley" I begin and her hand starts to make its way back to her face, but I stop it by grabbing it and taking it in mine "I don't know what I'd do without you, Rose. I've had the biggest crush on you since 3rd year and never had the guts to tell you until now, and I have to hand most of the credit to your family and friends. Because without them, and Albus acting and being an enormous twat, I wouldn't be up here about to ask you two very important questions. So, Rose Weasley, will you make me the happiest student in Hogwarts and be my girlfriend" I hear happy screams and 'awww's come from our crowd.

"Yes" Rose says "of course I will"

"And, Rose Weasley, will you be my amazing date to the Christmas ball?" I ask.

"Yes" she says and we quickly hug and share the most amazing kiss in the whole world.

It's official! Rose Weasley is my Girlfriend!
