Chapter 3

Rose P.O.V
I turned a corner as I finished my bread roll to see Kieran talking to some of his friends, so I decide to take my chance and talk to him. I walk up to him and tap him on the shoulder.

"Rose!" He says and hugs me.

"Hey Kieran, can I talk to you? Alone" I say whilst looking back at his friends.

"Yeah sure" he says "over this way" he leads me around the corner to the corridor which is much quieter.

"Right Kieran, I'm sure you know what I want to talk to you about" I begin.

"Yes...Look, Rose, I really really like you. Okay, and I have for a while now. I just had to do something about it." He says.

"Okay..." I say feeling nervous.

"So, Rose, would you like to go out with me?" He asks with a smile playing on his lips.

"I....I..don't know Kieran"

"Oh. Okay"

"It's just a bit weird because I always thought of you as a friend, not more" I say "I'm so sorry Kieran"

"It's okay Rose, don't worry about it okay?" He says sweetly.

"I hope this won't be awkward between us now" I say as I motion between us.

"Don't worry just pretend it didn't happen"

"Though Kieran, I'm sure you will find a girl who feels the same way" I begin "but I'm just not that girl, I'm so sorry"

"It's okay Rose. Come on let's get to class or else we'll be late" he says and we begin to walk to DADA, small chatter exchanged between us.

We get to DADA just in time and I say goodbye to Kieran and walk over to Alice, Scorp and Al to talk to before we go into class.

"Hey" I say.

"Well...?" Alice says.

"What?" I ask innocently, as if I had no clue.

"What happened?" She asks.

"Well, I just told him I don't feel the way he feels and I said we should just stay friends. He was a bit sad but then said he was okay and we quickly became good friends again, like nothing ever happened" I explain.

"Okay..." Alice says. Just then the door to DADA opens to reveal Teddy, or I should say Professor Lupin, and he barks his orders as us to get into the class and take our seat. We all flood into the classroom and take our seats, me next to Alice and Al and Scorp behind us.

"Right, Hello class. Welcome back!! It's great to see you all again, now let's get to work!" Ted says.

Today has been good so far, but it's my favourite part of the day. Lunch. Oh I love lunch, so I practically run out of herbology straight to the great hall and pile my plate high with an array of food.

"Rosie calm down" Hugo says sitting across from me.

"Hey I didn't eat that much for breakfast you can't blame me brother!" I say. Hugo just grunts at me, and I laugh.

The great hall then starts to flood with students craving the delicious food. Alice comes over and sits next to me.

"God Rose you sure can run fast" Alice says.

"Sorry, I shouldn't have left you" I apologise.

"It's okay, it's not that bad" Alice says "Anyways what do we have next?"
