Dawn dragged through the house tiredly. She had decided to get her plans moving with the building. Doing that took more time from her that the twins weren't consuming as is.  Since the whole meeting with Dr. Vincent she has given her mother a cold shoulder which is also the reason why she was more exhausted than normal. The door bell had rung as she made it to the nursery.

She ignored it and went into the twins room. Dawn picked up Aidan and then Kieran. She sat on the floor criss cross and placed the both of them on her thighs.

"I feel like such a failure as a mother." She mumbled and played with their hair.

From upstairs Dawn could hear Christian, Moniece, Marcel, and her mother talking. They were all meeting before heading over to the retreat so that Anthony could have the support he need to get back out in the real world. Dawn had decided not to go. At this moment she felt as if nothing would change and everything was a lost cause.

Kieran and Aidan started to make noises which made Dawn smile. If nothing can take her out of the funk she was in it was the twins. Every time she looked into their eyes she felt at ease.

"Yo look at my little niggas." Marcel came into the nursery startling the three.

"Don't do that! You scared them." Dawn huffed. "And don't call my babies some niggas."

"Whatever. I'm a nigga, you a nigga, their damn daddy a nigga, shit even your mama a nigga. We all niggas." Dawn groaned and rolled her eyes.

"You know I really can't stand be around you, let alone look at you. Can you go away please."

"That really hurt my feelings." He slapped his chest and faked a cry.

"I told you he was up here being a ass." Moniece strolled in with Bri.

Dawn haven't talked to Bri in a while. The two were so busy trying to live their life it became hard to hand out like they used to when growing up. It was fine thought because no love was ever lost and the both of them knew where they stood.

Bri shook her head and sat on the floor beside Dawn. "You sure you two have the same mama and daddy?" She asked Dawn.

"No. I'm beginning to think he was adopted." The two laughed.

Christian joined them in the nursery. "Hey we're about to head out. You sure you don't want to come sis?"

Dawn nodded her head. "Yes. I'm not going. Please don't ask again." She faked a smile and returned her attention to the twins.

In all truthfulness she did want to go. Just scared that anything said would not constitute for all the hurt and wrong done. She was tired and didn't feel like being disappointed again.

They nodded and left Dawn, Bri, and the twins in the nursery alone. Who could fault Dawn for not wanting her get her hope up again. It hasn't even been a year and she's spent most of it picking up pieces.

Bri opened he mouth which made Dawn sigh. "Before you go off on me just hear me out. I think you should go and take the twins. Why? Because it may help him and also you. I know what you're going through mentally and emotionally and I'm on your side here. I just don't want you to regret not getting the closure you may need."

"I don't want closure Bri. Never said I did." She mumbled and played with Kieran's hair.

"Then what do you want Dawn?"
