"Cause no one will love you, like her. It's pointless. Like tears in the rain."

Anthony debated on where to go to clear his head. His thoughts were racing rapidly. He smacked the steering wheel while at a red light from impatience.
Anthony saw that the shop was still open so he parked and went in hopes of getting his mind off of things.
"What you doing here this late boss man?"
Anthony shook his head and took a seat. He watched as Andrell was filling in a tattoo and zoned out.
"You good fam? Seem like you stressing over there."
"If only you knew."
"Look I'm no expert but if it's about your shawty, if she's not happy then no one gone be happy."
"Sounds like you an expert then." The customer laughed.
Anthony shook his head. He didn't want to talk about his problems with his employee.
"I'm gone be at the club. If anyone is looking for me. Tell them I'm not around." Anthony stood back up and walked out fast. He jogged over to the club and went inside.
It was the first time he had seen it since the contractors had started the renovations. After turning on the lights his eyes widened and tears started to fall down his face.
What Dawn had done for him had him speechless. He felt even more like shit once he seen the mural over the stage.
Sitting at one of the tables he took out his box and went through it. After staring at Dawns ultrasound pictures for over fifteen minutes he had made up his mind. It was the only right thing to do.
Anthony went to the bar and opened a bottle of Tequila. He returned to his seat and pulled out some letters from his mom. When his eyes landed on something he didn't see before he nearly lost it.

Dawn got out of bed and handled her normal morning routine. Afterwards she headed out of her room and crept to the guest room where Anthony was supposed to be sleeping. Opening the door slowly she peeked in. Looking around she sighed.
He was not there and the room look as if a hurricane came through. "The fuck was in that box?" Dawn mumbled and ran her fingers through her hair. Closing the door she went to the kitchen and opened the fridge, looking for something to eat.
She took out the bacon and all of the ingredients she would need to make belgian waffles. Her phone rung so she slid across the floor to go get it out of the bed room.
"What do you want?" Dawn rolled her eyes at the name that popped up after answering the call.
"Man look I told your ugly ass I was sorry for hitting you. Can we move past this? If it makes you feel better I'm getting my shit together."
"It don't but continue." Dawn walked back to the kitchen. She sat her phone on the back counter and put it on speaker.
"Look I want to do something for Nina. Get her mind off of all the shit I put her through."
"A gift will not make shit right Marcel you got to-"
"Why the hell are you so far away from the phone and stop calling me by my name?" Dawn rolled her eyes.
"I'm trying to fix breakfast if you must know and no you have no rights to Bubba until I say so. Marcel a gift will not erase anything. Nina isn't that type of girl and you can tell. You want to do something for her then do it because you care but not to try and bandage things. Now if you really want to fix things. Which will not happen overnight. Get your shit together and act right. Actions speak louder than words." Dawn hooked up her waffle maker and started to mix her ingredients. She wished someone would tell Anthony to get this shit together.
