"I'm making peace with loving you, peace with being me."

"Hey Anthony!" A female voice yelled. Anthony and Dawn were doing some shopping and both decided to go in opposite directions for a little while.

He turned around and quickly returned and frowned. The last thing he needed was to be dealing with his past when he's been trying hard to focus on his future.

"Don't act like you didn't see me." The female approached him.

"You talking to me?" Anthony kept his back to her. Not once did he turn around to face her.

"How have you been?" He ignored the female and walked out of the store and headed to Carters. The female continued to follow behind him.

"Mommy can I get that shirt." A little girl asked the female. Anthony turned back around and looked in disgust.

"How can I help you today sir?" A store clerk came up to Anthony.

"I need some little girl outfits for a four year old."

"What does this little girl like?" The store clerk asked.

"Barbie." Anthony simply said.

"That's all I need to know. Give me a few minutes and I will pull something together." The store clerk walked off. Anthony mugged the female once she got closer.

"So you're a father now?" Her smile dropped.

"Man what the hell do you want China?" Anthony grew agitated with her presence.

Dawn walked up drinking a milkshake and looked between the two of them confused.

"I didn't want to be just your baby mother Anthony. You have to see where I'm coming from one day."

"Let me ask you something China. That's your daughter?" She nodded. The little girl was going through shirts and out of ear sight. "How old is she?"

"Six and a half."

"You with her father?"

"No. He didn't want anything to do with me nor her." China mumbled.

"Serves your ass right. You one stupid ass bitch."

"Anthony that's enough." Dawn interrupted the conversation seeing what was going on. Anthony walked out of Carters just as the store clerk approached.

"Don't tell me I wasted my time and he's not going to buy anything."

"Just ring it up and I'll pay for it." Dawn sighed. The clerk nodded and walked to the cash register.

"I didn't mean to ruin your outing. I just wanted to say hello." Dawn nodded her head. She didn't want to say anything because if she did it wouldn't be nice.

"How far along are you?" China asked Dawn.

"What?" Dawn was taken aback by the question.

"I'm sorry I just assumed. If you and Anthony ever decide to have a baby be ready for the constant sickness that you will go through."

"Uhhhh okay." Dawn swiped her card and quickly exited the store to find Anthony.

She saw him pacing back and forth at the exit. When they laid eyes he walked out and headed to the car. Dawn just followed behind.

"You okay?" She asked Anthony getting in.

He ignored her and just drove. Dawn reached over and rubbed down his arm but he pushed her away.
