"No matter what the people say. In your darkest hours I'll help guide your way."

Anthony watched as Dawn browsed the internet for the perfect dress. Every five minutes she would roll her eyes out of frustration. Smiling he walked over to where she sat and closed the laptop.

"Baby no. I have to find a dress."

"You will but not right now. It's date night." Grabbing her hand he pulled her to the front door.

"But I need to get dressed, do my makeup, and-"

"You look good just like that."

Anthony pushed her out of the door and locked up. She pouted and followed behind to his truck.

"You're suppose to be helping me with the wedding." She sighed and got in.

"I am. Right now I'm getting your mind off of things."

"Some help." She mumbled low enough that he couldn't hear.

"How about we go to the bridal store tomorrow morning and look for something. Didn't you say you had one last fitting to do?"

Not getting an answer he looked over to see Dawn staring out of the window. Reaching over he squeezed her thigh gently, getting her attention.

"Sure that will be good."

"You okay?" He pulled over to the side of the road and killed the engine.

"I'm fine."

Knowing that she wasn't he sat there and stared at her until she finally was finally ready to talk.

"My dad reached out to me yesterday."

"What he say?"

"Nothing in particular. Just trying to apologize yet again. He also stated how he left his wife for good and wanting to try to be the dad he wasn't."

"Okay well what's wrong?"

"I always dreamed of having my father walk me down the aisle."

Anthony started the car again and pulled off. "If that's the case then do that. If it makes you happy why not?"

"I can't seem to get over everything he did and did not do for me. Like you wasn't there. Then I open my mind and heart to giving you a chance and you let your wife disrespect me. Not in one way but two."

"I mean I can feel where you coming from love. At the same time I took it differently. My pops passed away but he really won't my pops. Trying to find a place in my heart for my real family while also getting to know the real person who raised me is a lot. I am trying though. I know he caused a lot of pain and not to diminish or play sides and be sexiest. I feel like girls need their father just as much as boys. If your heart is telling you to try again then go for it. You can't lose anything in that case other then hope."

The car alerted them that they had a call which Anthony was about to decline but it was Christian who had the boys for the night.

"We in the middle of something this-" Anthony stopped talking when he heard Kieran in the background screaming at the top of his lungs along with Aidan.
