Chapter 46 -- Neutral

Liz's POV

"Liz, Liz, stay with me! Stay with me!"

Everything went black. There wasn't warmth. There wasn't light. It was just cold. I felt cold. Is this what heaven looked like? Black? Dark? Lonely?

The black circles continued to cover my eyes and I knew I was going to be gone.

Louis' POV

The moment I started to drive away, I just started to feel guilty. Why the fuck did I do that? I let her go. I did. And for some reason, my body wasn't listening to me mentally. My right foot continued to push the gas pedal harder and hard until I was well over the speed limit. the street lights were lit, andI just wanted to die. I pressed the pedal harder and harder.

I loved her. I really did. But she wanted to leave me. Well, I thought she wanted to. She was my everything. I couldn't live one day without her. I really didn't. From the day, I hit her head on the door, the day she became my girlfriend, my everything. I really did think she would be mine one day. Why would she leave me? Why did I do?

My phone rangand my thoughts were interrupted. Liam. Why the fuck would he call me? I picked up the phone. "What?"

"Louis! Oh my god, you have to come to the hospital quick. Something happened to Liz."

My heart stopped. Liz. Something happened to Liz.

"What the fuck is happening? Liam, fucking tell me. Where is Liz?"

There was a pause. "Lou, s-s-she's dying. She's cold and she's dying. I'm at the hospital, fuck everyone is at the hospital. Louis you have to come."

She's dying. I did that to her. I left her in the cold. Fuck, she was barely wear anything to keep her warm. Fucking Louis. I did this to Liz. I'm killing her.

"I'm coming right now." I threw my phone onto the passenger seat and stomped on the gas pedal and made a illegal U-Turn. I drove over the legal speed limit, but I don't know because I have to see the love of my life. I felt useless. I was useless. I was a monster.

I got to the hospital in the knick of time and I quickly ran into the hospital and out of the cold. I asked the lady at the front desk which floor Liz is on, and after she said that she was on the 3rd floor, I didn't bother wasting any time. The elevator was taking forever, and in a split second, I dashed off to the stairs. My heart was beating out of my chest, as I ran up the stair taking two steps at a time. I can't waste time. I need to see her.

I burst open the door and there stood Liam and Danielle. "WHERE IS LIZ?"

"She's still getting checked out by the doctors." He motioned towards the closed door. " Louis, what the fuck happened?" Liam asked, his eyebrows rising upwards.

"It's my fault, Liam. It's all my fault." I whispered, tears running out, my legs giving up on me.

"It's okay, Lou. She's going to be fine." Dani rubbed my back.
