Chapter 22

"Yeah!" I nodded in the dark like a fool,placing my purse on the table beside.
"You never even called!"
"I tried!" He came closer and sat beside me on the couch. Parker already started playing with his something.
"How have you been?" He asked leaning forward to look at my face.
"Not bad! I'm actually happy..I have Parker!" I smiled looking at looking at my cute son.
"Come on! Just give me a hug already! It feels weird to be so formal!" He hugged.  A passionate hug! He was a player since high school so he knows hugs too well!

"Mom! He got me a car! It's all black.. He said he chose that colour so that you can't throw it away when I play too much!" I smiled.. He remembers that I love black!
"That was supposed to be our secret champ!" He pulled Parker and seated him on his lap.
"But mom knows all my secrets!" He smiled showing his milk teeth.
"What happened to my talkative star?" He asked.
"I lost her! She's gone! All you have is a fun less, boring girl whose life is a f***ing maze!" I lost control. I could share anything with Blake.
When I got to know that Steve wasn't coming back, Blake helped me a lot, though he said just a line .. It worked :

I started making life, I started giving it a shape of my own choice. I didn't care of what was around cause I knew my family would be there if I fall not only to catch but also to fix!

"Language mom?" Parker widened his eyes. Blake and I chuckled.
"I'm sorry honey!" I smiled. Who was whose mother here?
"So you are staying until marriage?" I asked.
"Yeah! A week long break!" He avoided eye contact. Something was wrong!
"Spill!" I ordered and he smiled.
"I lost my job!" He breathes heavily and smiled again. I remembered how I used to wait for those smiles! Ugh!..

"When?"
"Last month, it wasn't my fault Star.. My boss is a womaniser.. He kept hitting on someone I know and I had to punch him!" That explains the jobless condition..but wasn't he a womaniser once! That girl must be really special.
I widened my eyes demanding for an explanation.
"She's just a friend!"
"I never said she wasn't!" We smiled.
"What's her name?" I asked.
"Carrie! She's beautiful!" He commented blushing. She was something! She must be a real beauty otherwise it's hard to flatter someone like Blake!

"Did you tell her?"
"I don't love her!"
"I was talking about the fight Blake..oh my god..wait! You love her?" I grinned. Easy catch Blake!
He blushed again.. He is seriously in deep fucking shit!
"Talk about her!" I asked and he blushed.
"I don't know Star! I love her like seriously... I want to own her..more and more each day! She is one of a kind! I don't know.. !" He gasped helplessly.
"You're whipped..my boy!" I patted his shoulder and he smiled.
"Invite her to the wedding.. Maybe you can propose her?" I suggested.
"No way Star! I want to get a job and set everything.. Then it's just both of us!" He smiled.

   Love is a slow poison,kiddo!
I thought but never said. Cause it can't be explained. Love is like chocolate.. One won't believe in it until it's tasted.. I know it's the worst example..but yeah.. Basically 'Love is fucking painful!'.

"Mom.. Did you ever fall in love?" Parker asked innocently.
"It's been an hour and you already taught my son dangerous stuff!" I slapped Blake on his shoulder, he smiled as if he knew what I was going through! You don't Blake! I hope you don't ever go through this!

"It's a bad word Parker!" I told Parker. I was proud of myself for saving my son..But somewhere under the layers of my heart.. I was scared that I was stopping Parker from the most amazing world! Why am I so confused? I need help!

"I'll leave Star! Meet you at breakfast tomorrow!" Blake got up and hugged. I hugged him back tighter.
"Sure thing!" I said smiling.
"Parker?" I called my son who was yawning. His tiny little mouth opened and closed while he ribbed his eyes violently.
"Yes mommy!" He didn't even lift his head.
"Don't ever leave a girl who trusts you! Okay?" I asked feeling the moisture in my eyes..again!
"I promise!" He smiled as if he understood.
"Atta boy!" We hugged.
