Walking home was longer without luke to bump into and chat with, but I tried not to think about that. It was dark and I just tried to walk home to get this toilet paper back to Wade.

As I was walking home, I heard a screen door slam shut and a chain rattle. Like a dog change and I saw s dog run out into the front yard and I glanced up on the porch to see Ashton, a guy from school.

He smiled at me and gave a small wave. I smiled and returned the wave and greeted him. His nicely swooped over curly locks were perfect as he wore his classes and oversized maroon sweater.

he looked very cute as always. He was brilliant too. He's on the speech and debate team, in the literature club, and the art club. Also in all honors. I have two classes with him. One being advanced art, and English since we both are in an advancement English class.

"Hey Cleopatra!" He smiled making me laugh and him giggle. Literally giggle. It was cute though. It always was.

"Hey Ashton," I chuckled, as I turned to him as he asked what I was doing out walking in the dark.

"My little brother went to the bathroom and didn't bother checking to see if there was any toilet paper," I explained making him giggle once again.

"Oh man," he chuckled, "Poor kid," he said and I nodded agreeing.
"You shouldn't walk alone in the dark though, not so safe," he said and I shrugged.

"Well luke was with me but he bailed out," I said and he frowned.

"That's not very nice. Why would he do that?" He asked and I shrugged as he shook his head sighing then smiled and walked down over to me.

"What are you doing?" I asked chuckling as he grinned widely.

"What's it look like i'm doing? I'm being a gentleman, i'm walking you home," he said smiling.

"That's very sweet of you, but you don't have to, Ashton. I only live a block away from you," I said and he shook his head insisting.

I didn't mind though. He was funny, and sweet so I was glad he offered to walk with me. Although it was only a block. Once I got to my doorstep I waved him goodbye and told him I'd see him Monday at school before entering my house.

I walked upstairs to see Wade still on the toilet and my stepmom bent down on the floor rubbing his feet for him. I smiled, pleased to see the image I did and handed over the toilet paper for him. His butt was probably numb by now. My stepmom was so sweet though. Not even caring to stay bent down and keep him company to rub his feet.

"Here you go, Wadey," I grinned as she thanked me and I nodded before I made my way to my bedroom, but was stopped by Lillian.

"Where'd luke go?" She questioned as I shrugged.

"Girlfriends house," I said as she sent me an apologetic look and I gave her a small grin signaling to her that I was fine before heading back in my bedroom.

My phone was vibrating and I opened it, already knowing that it was luke texting me. It's always how it goes. He leaves me for his girlfriend, I get upset about it, then he texts me and annoys me until I forgive him for it, then the same thing just repeats itself.

Me: okay I forgive you

Luke: I love you you little shit :-)

Me: I know you do

After that I laid down, wishing I wouldn't always cave in to him. I can't ever stay mad. Although I still am upset that he ditched me yet again for his girlfriend. We didn't even finish the first movie and he was suppose to stay the night.

Soon enough Monday came around the corner though and luke didn't pick me up for school, so my dad had given me a ride on the way to his work. I wasn't sure why luke didn't pick me up, but my guess was because of his girlfriend.

My assumption was right as I walked through the student parking lot I seen luke and Ashley standing by his car with a bunch of their friends surrounding them. Luke and I made eye contact and I knew he felt bad for picking her up instead but I didn't mind that much. It would of been nice to have a heads up.

As I wasn't paying attention to where I was going, due to making eye contact with luke, I ran straight into a body, and papers went everywhere. Immediately I was apologizing to the person and bent down to help pick up all the papers.

"It's okay, might want to watch where you're going Cleopatra," he joked as I realized it was Ashton and I chuckled agreeing with him.

"What are these flyers for?" I asked grabbing one and reading it.

"Uh the art club," he said finishing grabbing the papers and standing up along side of me, "we're short on people and Mr. Fletcher asked me to help pass these out," he explained and I nodded.

"Hm sounds fun," I admitted. He smiled widely at me.

"You should join, it'd be fun," he said and I smiled, shrugging my shoulders glancing at luke who glared over at my direction before I began walking along side Ashton.

"Maybe I will? When's the next meeting?" I asked.

"Today actually. Come, right after school," he said and I chuckled and nodded my head agreeing to go.

"Greet! See you at 3:30 Cleopatra," he smiled as we parted ways to our classes.
