Ashton and I decided to go ahead and leave the party. I tried looking for Anna but my guys were telling me she was off with Trevor somewhere. Not surprising with her, but who cares.
Ashton and I got in his car and sat with the music on for a minute, just relaxing. The song Shots by Imagine Dragons came on, but it was the Broiler Remix.
"Thanks for having me come to the party with you, it was fun," he smiled at me and I returned it.
"I'm glad you came with me," I said.
I leaned over slowly, giving him a kiss on the cheek, and as I was leaning back to my seat, Ashton's hand held my cheek and he leaned in giving me a kiss.
At first I was took by surprise, but I kissed back, realizing how soft his lips felt against my own. After a few seconds, I allowed him to deepen the kiss. His kiss tasted like strawberry, probably from the fruity drink he had. His arm grabbed mine, pulling me closer, and I climbed into the seat with him.
My phone ringing made me pull away and I noticed it was Luke on FaceTime so I declined it. I pressed my lips back to Ashton's and continued to kiss him. At least until my phone started ringing and it was Luke calling this time and I decided on answering it.
"Why'd you decline my FaceTime? That's the third time I tried face timing you through the night," he said immediately as I felt Ashton's lips on my neck.
"I'm sorry, i've just been busy," I said.
"At one in the morning? Where are you? Are you at a party?"
"No, well technically no," I said.
"Then why do I hear music?"
"I'm in a car," I said.
"A car doing what? Who are you with?" He asked as Ashton began sucking on my neck and I forced myself to hold a moan in.
"Luke, chill," I said as Ashton stopped.
"I'm coming over, now," he said, as I rolled my eyes.
"Aren't you with Ashley?" I remarked as I heard him groan.
"Be there, i'm walking now," he said before I sighed and hung up and slid back into my seat.
"I'm sorry, Cleo," Ashton frowned, "I shouldn't have done that."
"Ashton it's okay," I chuckled, "really. You're a good kisser and you have soft lips," I admitted as his cheeks crimsoned.
"You don't feel guilty?"
I looked at him confused and shook my head, "Why would I feel guilty?"
"You're dating luke, aren't you?" He asked and my eyes nearly popped out of my head and I laughed.
"No Ashton. He's just my best friend, he has a girlfriend," I said and if his cheeks couldn't get any more red then they did.
"Oh...but do you mind if we don't talk about the kiss? Not that I didn't want it, just cause I think we're starting to become really close friends and i've never had an actual close friend before," he said as I smiled and hugged him.
"Of course Ashton."
With that he drove us back and dropped me off at my house before I said bye. as I stepped on my front porch, I heard my name being called, making me turn to the direction to see Luke.
I sighed, preparing for the shit i'm about to get from him, which he has no right to, but he'll do it anyways.
"You actually came, I love when you keep your word," I grinned as he nearly glared at me.
"Are you drunk?" He asked and I shook my head.
"No, I only had two small drinks," I said defending myself.
"so you did go to a party," he said and shrugged, dropping his hand to his side, "You lied to me," he said.
I groaned unlocking my house door and walking in, with Luke following me up to my bedroom.
"Cleo, don't ignore me," he said as I began taking my shoes off.
"i'm not," I sighed grabbing my spandex shorts and an oversized long sleeve tee shirt, "When you asked I was already out of the party," I said and went to the bathroom and changed quickly before walking back into my bedroom and shutting the door.
"Stop bullshitting me, Cleo," he said clearly annoyed. "Who'd you go with?"
He was angry by now, and I didn't understand why. i've gone to a party before without him and he didn't seem to care that much. So what's different now?
"Just Anna," I said.
"Who else."
"Luke it was just Anna-"
"Who. Else." He demanded cutting me off as I sat on my bed, wanting him out of my face.
"Luke stop...why are you so angry, you're scaring me," I said softly as he sighed and ran his hand through his hair and bit his lip bring.
He took a seat beside me, staying quiet did a brief moment, just giving us time to think.
"I'm sorry, Cleo. Im just protective over you," he said patting my thigh, and resting his hand on my thigh.
"I know."
"Who gave you that," he said as I looked at him confused, until he pointed to my neck and my cheeks heated.
I shrugged my shoulders, and he sighed heavily and fell back on my bed, rubbing his eyelids with the back of his hands.
"Cleo," he said stretching out, "Why can't you just say who?"
I shrugged again turning to face him, "It doesn't matter," I said as he scoffed.
"Clearly does matter who you're shagging," he remarked bitterly making me frown. I stood up, the sleeves engulfing my hands.
"Are you purposely trying to hurt my feelings or something? Why are you being so mean to me?" I asked him as his face soften, seeing how upset I was with him and he pulled me into a hug.
He held me for a while, as I felt myself calm, my muscles loosening, and my body coming to an ease, as I felt comfortable in his arms. It gave me a warm feeling I hadn't felt in a long time...almost since the last time I hugged my mother.
I didn't know how to describe it. home. He felt like home.
