"Who's your friend," Lillian smiled excitedly seeing Ashton and I smiled introducing him go my parents.

"This is Ashton, he lives down the block," I said as both Lillian and dad waved and introduced themselves to him.
"He knows how to build a back deck," I smiled making Ashton giggle.

"Great. We could use the help," my dad smiled giving us nails and two hairs.

We started to get to work, and Lillian put some music on that we could listen too. Of course they were from their generation but nonetheless I knew multiple songs.

"No, Cleopatra," Ashton giggled, "You can't put the nail in that way, it'll come loose." He said.

"Then which way do I put it in?" I asked smiling at him.

"Here I'll show you," he said scooting over to me and grabbing my hand gently, and putting it properly so that the nail is curved and he hammered it in while I held it. Then I released it so he could finish.

Then he smiled at me genuinely happy and I returned it, glad that Ashton and I are becoming closer friends. He's so sweet and respectful.

"So Ashton," Lillian asked, trying to make small talk, "Any idea where you'd like to go to college?"

"Uh well, I was hoping of Yale, or maybe Harvard. If not there NYU," he answered and I merely rolled my eyes.

"Wow, very high standards," my dad said pleased.

"Don't let him fool you. He's already gotten accepted to Harvard and Yale," I said, knowing that he wouldn't say he did because he didn't like showing off. It's just how Ashton was.

"What, that's incredible," Lillian smiled at him, "Congratulations," she said and his cheeks turned red and he thanks her.

After so long, we decided to call it quits since it was growing close to dinner time. Ashton and I went and washed up and came back downstairs.

"How's your pregnancy going?" Ashton asked Lillian as I passed him a chocolate milk box, and began to sip on mine.

"Great so far actually! Just a few pains here and there," she said nodding her head," I don't know the gender of the baby, but my husband does. He's setting everything up, doing all the decorating and getting all the stuff," she smiled excited. She was so excite about the baby.

She's never had a kid, at least blood kid before and it must be exciting to actually birth her own baby. Not that she doesn't love us as her own. She claims Wade and I so much it's like she's our own. Not that she could ever replace my mother.

No one could ever do that, but that doesn't mean she doesn't do a good job at filling the spot. Ever since I met her, I just clicked with her. I have a lot of respect for her and glad she's my stepmom.

"Oh that's exciting," he grinned, "My aunt did the same with her baby too, she loved the thrill of not knowing," he said and Lillian smiled.

"When are you going to be due?" He asked her.

"February 14 is the due date actually," she grinned and so did Ashton.

"How fortunate is that," he smiled happy. I'm guessing he enjoys babies. Not really sure. Maybe he's just a happy person in general.

"Daddy I'm hungry," Wade complained and my dad picked him up.

"Are you," he said, and Wade nodded.

"What do you want for dinner then, sport," he asked and Wade thought about it before smiling widely.

"Subway!" He cheered and dad agreed to it.

"Well thanks for having me over," Ashton smiled and stood.

"Oh sweetheart, stay for dinner. We can't force you in labor and not feed you," Lillian joked.

"Are you sure?" Ashton asked smiling and she nodded as we all stood to head out to subway.

"I hope you like subway," I told Ashton and he smiled and nodded.

The car ride was fun, and has Ashton and I laughing almost the whole time. He was very funny and Wade was also making everyone laugh.

Once we got there, we ordered what we liked, and took a seat at two tables put together. My phone began ringing and it was luke on FaceTime. Looks like he fulfilled his promise.

I answered with a mouthful of food and he immediately laughed at me and I couldn't help but smile and finishes swallowing.

"Who you with?" He asked curiously.

"Family and Ashton," I said and he gave me a fake smile and I rolled my eyes.

"Oh that's cool," he said but I knew he was bothered by it. Ive known him forever.

"Shut up, Lucas," I said as he groaned.

"Don't call me that, it's not even on my birth certificate."

I just rolled my eyes and glanced over at Ashton who was playing with Wade. It was very cute. I started laughing as Ashton made a joke to wade making Wade burst into a fit of giggles.

I heard luke sigh and I glanced back at him on the screen. I raised my eyebrow, "what's up with you?"

He just shrugged and I pouted my lip, "luke don't be like that," I said as he covered his eyes grinning.

"Stop, Cleo. You know I can't do your puppy face. It kills me," he said and I chuckled.

"Oh how I love having power over you," I grinned.

I felt rude for being on FaceTime with luke while I was with Ashton. I wasn't giving him my full attention and it just wasn't nice.

"Okay luke i'm going to get off here. I'll FaceTime you later tonight," I said and it was his turn to pout.

"Ugh why," he said.

"Because i'm with Ashton right now, now stop whining," I said as he rolled his eyes.

"Whatever, Cleo," he said and I sighed before hanging up.

"You didn't have to get off, I didn't mind," Ashton said and I shook my head.

"No I did. That's so rude, and i'm with you. When hanging out with someone you must divert all your attention to them, agreed?" I smiled and he returned if and nodded.

"Agreed."
