It was now Tuesday and I was starting to think that luke didn't want to be my friend anymore. I was beginning to get scared. Did that small little fight really end everything for us? It couldn't possibly...could it?
I just want to go talk to him, but I always go back. It should be his turn. Maybe I should just go talk to him? No. No he needs to talk to me first. I don't want to annoy him either if he doesn't bother to talk to me either.
Why does this have to bother me so much? It literally shouldn't bother me this much. I'm just so angry and upset. I wish Ashley never went to our school. Then things would be better and everything would be good and luke and I would have never started arguing.
"Cleo?" Anna said as I glanced back to her and Ashton starring at me.
"Huh?"
"You alright?" She questioned as I nodded my head.
"Of course, why wouldn't I be?" I said an took another bite of my apple slices an sipped my chocolate milk.
"Because you've been silent this whole lunch," Ashton said, "It's okay if you're sad," he said and I nodded not really knowing what to say.
I heard a loud clinging noise, which just so happened to be a tray falling to the floor. I glanced behind us to see what happened and it just so happened to be Ashley and some other girl, maybe a sophomore or junior? Not really familiar with her so I didn't know. But what I did know if the underclassman's food was now all over Ashley who looked beyond pissed.
"What the actual fuck!" She hissed at the girl, only causing people around the area to look. The girl began to apologize, but Ashley, out of anger an no understanding, slammed the girl back to the ground, making it able to hear her skin screeched against the floor.
I glanced around seeing no one do anything. That's bullshit. I immediately got up, now pissed off that Ashley thinks that's okay to do. Anna an Ashton yelled at me to sit down, but I didn't care. I rushed to the girl with tears in her eyes, and now scraped skin on both of her arms.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!" I said to Ashley seeing all of er friends watch. Including Luke. How could he not do anything about what his girlfriend just did?
"She dumped her tray on me!" Ashley said in defense. Ashley and I never had a problem with each other, but I know after this we're definitely not gonna like each other.
"And that's an excuse to be a complete bitch? You barely have anything on you? So not cool," I said angered glancing at Luke who looked guilty.
She gasped at me, surprised at my words and glared at me, "You gonna do something about it? What are you gonna do? Sit on me?" She said as if she was really trying to call me fat? All her friends began to laugh and I noticed Luke's face turn red. Was he getting angry? He stood up looking at Ashley and shook his head.
"Stop. That's enough," he said sternly as I watched him.
I literally laughed at her shaking my head, "Wow, as if you'd hurt my feelings," I snickered as she looked at me with an angry look but somewhat of a pout due to Luke.
I continued to help the girl up, and go to the bathroom with her. She was crying and I talked to her, trying to calm her down, making sure she was okay.
"Really, don't cry. She's not worth it," I said looking at er as she fixed the runny mascara under her eyes, "Ashley's a complete bitch. She thinks people like her, but it's only because they want a piece of ass. Not that she has one.." I rambled making the girl laugh and me.
"Thanks," she said and I smiled at her and nodded asking what her name was.
"Raleigh," she said and I nodded thinking how pretty of a name she had.
"That's so pretty, i'm Cleo," I grinned. After talking for a few more minutes the bell rung and we said goodbye. As I walked out the bathroom, Luke was standing out the door with my bag.
I grabbed it from him and mumbled a 'thank you' before continuing to walk off from him but he caught up.
"Sorry what Ashley said," he said scratching the back of his neck and I tried my best to hold in the scoff my body was wanting to release. So I nodded my head and just continued to walk.
"You don't wanna talk?" He questioned still walking with me and I just shrugged my shoulders.
"Not like you'd want to," I responded as he frowned.
"I've been waiting for you to talk to me, Cleo. You just haven't," he said and I rolled my eyes so hard I thought they were going to fall out of my head.
"So mature of you," I said before walking in my class.
Not thinking he'd follow, he did looking sorry, "I'm sorry, Cleo. Talk to me," he said and I sighed shaking my head.
"Art Gallery think weekend, be there," I said before my teacher yelled out him to leave.
