Kana usually didn't get to share her feelings with her mother Jannet because she was never home. Kana was mostly raised by her Butlers and Maids.

Kana paced back and forth in her large bedroom. "What will I do?! What will I tell mother!? He's dead... I killed a man. I can't go to prison! I'm too pretty to rot in a cell for the rest of my life! Those hooligans will shank me and make me their prison wife!" Outside the window Jannet exits a red and white convertable. "Oh my!" Kana flops in her bed and puts her face in a pillow. "She is going to kill me."

Kana slowly walks to the garden where her mother always had her evening tea, trying to gather her story before she approached her mother. As she arrived at the garden she spotted her skinny pale mother wearing a black fur coat that brushed the ground beneath her. She wore black high heels that only revealed two toes. "Mother?" "Yes dear?" Jannet replied while fixing her short brown hair. "I was playing tennis earlier this evening and something quite odd happened." "Well dear, what was it?" "

"This might sound completely insane but I was playing against Mr. Jameson, my tennis coach, and I was losing. I got a little upset a-and..." Kana hesitated. "And what honey? Speak up" "And my hands started glowing with an almost magical looking purple and yellow energy. Then I started floating in mid air. As I was in the air started feeling weak, and then there was a sudden rush of adrenaline. Th-the energy surrounded my body, then exploded causing everything to fly back.

Coach Jameson... He was caught in the blast... I killed a man today- "

Kana was interrupted when a tall white man that appeared to be about forty and wore a black and white tuxedo walked up to the table. It was Carl, the family butler. "Madam you must take a look at this." He placed a small electronic tablet on the table and Lois Lane appeared on its screen. "There has been multiple sightings of super powered meta-humans in Metropolis. Normal people are gaining incredible new abilities. No one is aware of what's going on but we will keep you updated.

"It's time-" "PLEASE DONT SEND ME TO STRYKER'S ISLAND MOTHER! THEY'LL DO UNSPEAKABLE THINGS TO ME THERE!" Kana panicked. "Kana calm down, we are extremely wealthy. You'd never stay in a prison any longer than 5 minutes." Jannet stated calmly. "B-but what do we do? He's dead." "We cover our tracks. Mr. Jameson is taken care of." Jannet put her tea on the table. "Kana I always knew you were special. The day I saw you i saw you as a baby I knew you would become someone great."

Jannet held her hand out in front of Kana and purple and red energy formed. Kana's eyes grew big as the lights began to intertwine. They formed a circle and a charm appeared on the tip with a design that resembled a yin and yang symbol  then suddenly the yin split from the yang. "Take this. It will help you you gain control of your powers." Kana held the bracelet. "But I'm confused. What am I? What's going on? How can we do these things?" "All of your questions will be answered soon enough. But for now you must come with me. Something is coming and you will need to be prepared. Follow me."

Jannet stood up and walked into the house and down into the basement with Kana following close behind her. The basement was fully furnished with couches, a television and perfectly clean white carpet. There was a soda fountain and a popcorn machine on the other side. It was as if the room had never been entered. "This is where you will train." Jannet stated firmly. "Train? In dads party room? I know he's always on business trips but"- Jannet waved her hand and a bare brick wall opened up revealing a completely different room.
