This chapter is dedicated to my amazing friend Malique or @GeneralZod1223 on Wattpad. Malique is an amazing and creative artist as well as a great friend. He's starting writing recently writing his own DCUO fanfic and from what I've heard it's going to have a darker tone to it. So don't forget to check that out.

This chapter will be a tad shorter than the others but that doesn't mean anything! Enjoy!

The team excluding King and Kana was on their was to Africa.

Rae First Person POV

Everything was cool at first. We were riding to Africa in the Siren. Lyna sharpened her million blades. Vince was asleep in his chair. Kai meditated with his legs crossed in his seat. Tolen was in his suit, using its finger as a blowtorch to upgrade it's arm. Carl sat in his pilot chair as usual, and I was playing Mortal Kombat on my Playstion Vita. We were all worried about Kana but at the same time eager to save her. We were all relaxing, trying to enjoy the ride and keep our minds distracted, when Carl started trippin'.

"When we arrive we must leave all of our electronic devices inside the Siren. That means no communicators, no cell phones, no hand held video games and no warsuit Tolen." He said sternly.

"But what if I need to defend myself!" Tolen protested. "We won't allow anything to harm you. But if you you don't trust me, take this." Carl said opening a small dusty box.

He took out a little silver blade and reached to give it to Tolen. Tolen deactivated his suit and grabbed the blade. He was wearing a orange and black button down with khaki pants and expensive black and orange high tops. I guess Kana actually did find the time to take him shopping.

"B-but I m no good at fighting without my suit.." Tolen frowned.

"Believe in yourself. Let the blade guide you and you will be fine." Carl said then turned to the rest of us. "When we arrive, my old friend won't be particularly happy to see us but we will have to convince her to help us."

"Huh... What?" Lynx snored.

"And how do we do that?" I asked.

"We must prepare a meal-"

"Easy. I was a chef in Japan. I got this." Lyna interrupted.

Carl cleared his throat and continued.
"We must prepare a meal from things that we hunt and gather ourselves. Then we I'll invite her to dinner with us. At that point I will try to convince her to help us. If she doesn't, we may never see Kana's smile again.

"Wait a minute... You mean we have to kill something, clean it, then cook it and eat it?" Lyna asked.

"Exactly."

"Why can't we just kill her and take what we need." I suggested

"First, we don't know what we need. That why we need her. Second, she's stronger than the six of us combined."

"I highly doubt that." Kai said without opening an eye.

"Trust me. We wouldn't last a second against her." Carl said before turning to the window. "We're here."

We stepped out of the siren and we were surrounded in tall brown grass and all kinds of animals. Carl wasn't playing any games. He immediately got to work.
