Kana first person POV:
"Mom!?" I yelled in confusion.
"This is another of Circe's tricks-" Lyna started to say before she interrupted her.
"I am not your mother, and I am not Circe." She said in a smug tone. "Come, have a seat."
Lyna and I gave each other an uneasy look and slowly sat at the table in front of her. She sat with an expression that I couldn't quite read, which scared me. Then finally she smiled a little.
"Now that you're comfortable, tea?" She said and snapped her finger, summoning a tea kettle and three teacups from a cloud of pink smoke.
"... No thanks." Lyna said as she pushed the cup away.
"Don't worry darling, I'm not here to hurt you." She said in a long drug out tone. "My name is Jannet Amor and I'm here to inform you."
"What are you talking about? Inform us about what?" Lyna asked.
"Your mother of course." She said in a higher tone.
Her words go me very excited. Ever since I found out Circe isn't my real mother, I've been dying to know about my birth mother. I don't even have a real reason to trust Circe and yet here I am, fighting in her little group of villains.
"You knew our mother?!" I asked with wide eyes.
"Of course I do... Her name, was Nimue Inwudu, also known as Madame Xanadu. If you listen carefully, I'll tell you everything there is to know about her...
Meanwhile In Metropolis.
Third person POV.
"So what do you guys wanna eat?" Lynx asked as he and the rest of the team walked down the streets of downtown Metropolis.
"There's a big belly burger right up there." Mercury suggested.
"No. That shit's nasty. Next." Rae said bluntly.
"I wouldn't mind big belly burger." Tolen added.
"I'm down for whatever." Kai said simply as they approached big belly burger.
"Then it's settled we're getting big-" Lynx started to say before through the glass windows of big belly burger, they saw a teal portal appear behind the counter and two teenage boys jump out.
One, wearing a black hooded jacket, shot the cashiers and all the cooks with a pistol that emitted dark smoke. The other boy had jet black hair with a white stripe in the front and wore sunglasses.
"Everyone get on the floor now! I don't have to hurt you, but I definitely will." He said while pointing to the customers.
"On second thought... They seem busy." Lynx said as he continued to walk.
They walked to a nice looking building called "Chang's Chinese."
"Oh, this is one of those fancy Chinese restaurants where the chefs in here are all secretly white." Tolen said.
