Chapter 3: Greetings

I stole the pic above from a very good friend because it reminded me of Kana. This chapter is dedicated to @MegaFagatron. I met him on the very game I'm writing about (DCUO) and we've been friends ever since. He also inspired me to start writing after reading his story Rising Threats. (I came up with the name.) With that being said he owns all rights to the character Sorcerer Tiger. His story will be linked at the end of this chapter. Anyway hope you enjoy :D

Kana. 1st Person POV

I couldn't believe it! As we stood the front of a big metal door in the Hall Of Doom, the door opened and Carl walked out with three other people walking behind him. I ran up to him and gave him the biggest hug imaginable! He hugged me back tightly and slightly lifted me off the ground.

"I'm so glad you're ok." He said as he pushed my hair behind my ear. "Yes I'm fine Carl, how are you?" I asked. "I'm hanging in there." He said as his slightly wrinkled face grinned cheerfully.

I always saw Carl as a father more than a butler. It seemed as if he cared about me more than anyone in the world. Even Circe-Mother.

"Carl this is my sister Lyna." I said as I turned towards Lyna. She seemed to be distracted by a red headed boy that stood in front of her.

"I know. I've heard all about Ms. Lyna. I just didn't know she would look so much like you." Carl replied. I wondered how everyone knew so much about my long lost twin other than me. But I bushes it off and just kept smiling.

"This is your new team." Circe started, interrupting my thoughts. "Carl will be leading this team. Now get to know each other. You'll be spend a lot of time together. Kana when you're ready, meet me in the magic wing's training area. There your training will resume." She informed and disappeared in a swirl of purple smoke.

Suddenly a man wearing a long black trench coat with matching pants who seemed to be near my age eagerly walked towards me. His blonde hair was spiky and he had small gages in his ears. "Welcome to the team. I'm Lynx but you can call me Vince." He said with a big welcoming smile as he reached for a hand shake.

I noticed on his hand he wore a strange ring that had a design that resemble sharp teeth. "I'm Kana. I don't really have a code name." I admitted while shaking his hand. "That's ok. It's not a requirement, I just think it's cool." He winked then walked over to Lyna, interrupting her and the red haired boy's conversation.

Another guy walked up to me. This man was Asian as he wasn't very tall by a man's standard. He had pretty black hair and wore a black and navy blue combat suit. He was kind of cute. His light blue eyes twinkled in the light. "Hey. I'm Rae." He said with a small grin. His perfect English caught me off guard. "Hey." I blushed, a little lost for words. "HEY!" Lyna interrupted as she walked towards us.

"I know you! You're the guy that was on the date with that annoying girl at the restaurant!" she laughed. "Yeah. And you're the girl that served me that terrible cucumber water! Nice to see you again." They laughed. What are you doing here anyway?" She asked. "The same thing you're doing here, getting this money." Rae replied smiling, revealing all of his perfectly aligned teeth. My heart melted at that beautiful sight.

While Lyna and Rae talked, the red headed boy introduced himself to me. "Hey. I'm Tolen." The boy said, visually nervous. "Hello Tolen. I'm Kana." I said happily. "W-wow. It's insane how identical you and Lyna are. You're both so beautiful." He complimented while scratching his head.

"Thank you so much!" I said happily. I never got compliments from anyone other than mother and Carl. It was weird but I sort of liked it. "How do you know my sister? I asked. "Oh, we have known each other since elementary school. She was always such a clown." Tolen said as he smiled.
