"Wake the fuck up!" And obnoxious voice known as Michael Clifford said before forcefully throwing a pillow at me.

I groaned, rolling over and grabbing the pillow. Keeping my eyes shut, I grab the pillow and throw it back at him.

It could have went anywhere for all I know but by the thud heard and Michael's giggles followed I assumed I hit him.

"You hit me in the leg. How do you feel about that, Mads?" I swear I could hear the smirk in his voice.

"Disappointed I didn't hit you somewhere else." I said, half my face pressed against a pillow.

He chuckles and moments later I feel something heavy on my back and more laughter.

He was laying horizontally on me with his chin resting in the palm of his hand. "You really need to get up you're ten minutes later than normal." He said looking that the tangles in my unruly hair.

"First of all, I am up or else I wouldn't be talking and second I can't when you're in my room, so leave."

"Someone's sassy this morning," Michael said getting up, he didn't leave though, instead leaning up against the wall near my bed. "And you know what I mean by up so get your lazy ass up." He said the sun streaming on his face. Today he was wearing a Van Halen shirt and his normal black skinny jeans.

"Go eat a banana or something." I said slowly getting up and removing the sheets from my legs, immediately missing the warmth it gave me. I ushered Michael out the door before shutting it to get ready.

---

"I love this weather," Michael said, sighing in contempt and looking up at the dull sky.

The leaves crunched beneath our feet as we walked.

Michael has a car but he only drives when he's too lazy to walk or running late.

"This is nice weather, I love the fall," I say agreeing with him.

The weather was typical for fall, dull grey clouds covered the sky and the colorful trees surrounded the view. The sun somehow still managed to shine on the other side of the street which made the weather seem odd.

"Too bad we will be in hell during it," Michael said, fixated on the sky.

I laugh at Michaels substitution for the word school. "I know I have a history test too," I say blowing out a breath of air.

"You know Luke is in your history class," Michael stated turning to look at me.

"Really? I've never once seen him," I say puzzled.

"He sits in the back," he said blankly.

I mouthed an 'O' and proceeded towards the giant building that was getting closer each step we took.

Soon more and more teenagers surrounded us and we were walking through the doors of school.

People shuffled by, some walking slowly to be on their phones and some stopping in the middle of the wide hallway to talk to people.

"Why can't people just walk at a normal fucking pace and not stop in the middle of the hallways to socialize," Michael said, directing his last words towards the younger people in front of us. They didn't bother to notice and kept talking.

Michael rolled his eyes at the girls and shoved his way past them with his shoulder. I tried to follow the small pathway he created and caught up with him in the much smaller and more vacant hallway.

"That hallway is bullshit I don't understand why people even-" Michael stopped talking and perked up peering across several students, "Hey Luke!" He said waving his hand and smiling like a child.

Luke was walking alone in the hallway with an earbud in one ear. He was wearing almost the exact same skinny jeans as Michael.

Luke was only about two feet ahead of us to begin with so he easily turned his head and stopped to catch up with us.

Hey Michael, Haley," he nodded to me.

"Do you wanna walk with me to class?" Michael suggested to Luke.

"Sure," Luke said with a small smile on his face.

"Alright," Michael said turning to me and giving me a side hug, "bye Mads," he said to me before descending down the hallways with Luke.

I sigh and turn around in the direction of my home room.

I make it 5 minutes early, occasionally bumping into a few people, but managing. I stand outside the door and lean back against the wall.

"Hey," a familiar cheery voice said.

I look to my side and see my friend Cassidy standing next to me, clutching her books to her chest.

Cassidy is my friend because Michael isn't in this class and I don't want to be that one girl that doesn't socialize with anyone. Cassidy is really nice and sits next to me in this class. She's a cheerleader which is pretty stereotypical for her peppy attitude but isn't anything like the stereotypes. She's nice to everyone and has natural beauty unlike most of the other girls on the team. Her dimples and curly Carmel-colored hair can get her any guy she wants.

"Hey, Cass," I say giving her a small smile.

She kind of gives off that Cara Delevingne look but with better eyebrows and greener eyes.

"Do you have any gum?" Cassidy asked, fixing her hair that was in a ponytail for today.

"Ya, I think so," I say slinging my stuff forward and opening pockets to look for which one has gum. I found the pocket and give her the pack to take a piece from.

"Thanks, Mad" she said giving the pack back to me to put up.

The bell rang as soon as I unzipped the pocket and I shuffled in the room leisurely behind Cassidy as I put my gum up.

I finished and walked to the seats we normally sit in and fling my backpack to the ground.

"Why can't you just put your bookbag in your locker?" Cassidy asked with a hint of amusement.

"Too lazy for that," I wave off. Cassidy laughs lightly and turns her attention to the board, waiting for class to start.

More students file in through the door before the final bell rings and everyone rushes to their seats.

The teacher soon walks in and mutters a good morning before immediately starting to write something on the board And class gets started.

~Sorry this chapter is really short. Also sorry that I suck at writing i don't have the talent :/ - Devin
