Pryce pov
It was Saturday and I decided to finally talk to her I haven't really seen her all week. So this is my chance
I noticed her parents weren't home both cars were gone.
I knocked on the door and waited
"HOLD ON!"
"K"
The footsteps stopped
"....who is it?"
"Pryce."
She didn't say anything and the footsteps didn't continue
"Hey look we need to talk can you please open the door sweetheart?"
Daezja pov
Pryce was outside my door trying to talk to me...
I didn't really wanna see him.
I was still upset about what happened with that girl. I was mad at him but of course I couldn't show it. That's selfish. And I was mad at myself.
I stuck between opening the door and not.
I didn't want to but I really wanted to know what he had to tell me
"Look if you don't wanna talk right now we don't have to we can talk later. Call me if you change your mind"
I whispered to myself
"Wait no. No no."
One thing my grandma always taught me and my sister is, never miss an opportunity waiting at your door.
"Umm..PRYCE WAIT! HOLD ON ONE SECOND."
I ran to the hallway mirror checking my hair. Den quickly scattering opening the door
"Um yeah wassup?"
Thank god he was still standing there.
"Hey you alright?"
"Yep never better. Come in?"
I signaled in and he proceeded through the door.
Pryce pov
We sat in the kitchen
"Sooo how's everything?"
"You kno same old same old "
She grabbed a water
"And you?"
"Straight."
"Hmm good good. " she sat down her water " so what do you need to talk about?"
"Ok well a source told me you were upset that I was talking to that girl. Cause you like me? Or something like that"
Daezja pov
I paused.
Leandrea said something. Imma kick her ass. That's all.
"Ummm..."
My head was yelling tell him
So was my heart
But my mouth fought back. That inner fear of his reaction pulled the leash on Me harder make it difficult to get the proper words out.
It was the way he asked that kinda mad me. Scared and worried and sad and just all bad emotions that cause tears
"...no? I mean I was upset but that wasn't it. Just a little monthly weather you kno girl things. "
"Well that's nasty and good to hear. I'm just happy you don't. I thought they were crazy too. Like daezja really liking me? Hmm crazy."
"Yeah best friend crazy."
I faked chuckled while drinking my water
"But look tho I gotta go get ready for practice. Ill call you later "
He hugged me and walked out.
