Harry Potter vs. Twilight

Another "Why Twilight is Better" and my response to it

A/N: These are 10 reasons why Twilight is "better" than Harry Potter. I will be quoting them word-for word. TwilightIsAmayzing666 created this list. Anything in bold and italics are my responses.

1 Bcuz twilight has more LOVE and Harry pOtter is sooo boring!!!
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Twilight does not have as much love as Harry Potter. Kinda funny, considering the fact that IT'S A FRICKIN' LOVE STORY!

2 Bella is the most amazing person eveeerrr she's SOOO beautiful ,smart and brave
I'm losing brain cells. Bella is described in the books as "plain", remember? She's sooooo smart, too! Smart enough to fall in love with a stalker and jump off a cliff for no reason! So brave, too! Let her sparkling boyfriend do all the work!

3 We have Taylor Launtner HAVE YOU SEEN THOSE ABS?!!?!
*Lautner. And he looks like an alpaca. Have you seen Matthew Lewis or Tom Felton? And besides, the books came first and so SHOULD BE CONSIDERED MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE MOVIES.

4 Kristen Stewart is an amazing actress
Yup. Master of two facial expressions, if we're lucky. By the way, have you heard of Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Matthew Lewis, Tom Felton, Evanna Lynch, Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, David Tennant, James and Oliver Phelps, Helena Bonham-Carter, Ralph Fiennes... Do you want me to go on?

5 Harry is so mean to his friends in the 5th movie!!
Yeah. I mean, no reason at all for that, right? Not like he has a bit of Voldemort inside his head at all? It's not like he saw somebody who was nice to him when others hated him get killed the summer before. It's not like the entire school thought he was insane and trying to get attention at all. It's not like he was attacked by dementors and got in trouble for defeating them. It's not like his close friends and mentors were deliberately keeping secrets from him. It's not like he had a teacher who hated his guts. It's not like he had to deal with all that on top of the everyday struggles that come with growing up. No reason at all.

6 WE HAVE VAMPIRES
Hahahahahaha no. You don't. You have fast, sparkly, leech-men. I did a chapter about the history of vampires, go read it. If you have a weak stomach, though, I would arise against reading it.
By the way, did you know Harry Potter has vampires? Certainly none played a major role, but it was rumoured in Philosopher's Stone that Quirrell had had a nasty encounter with a vampire. In book three, after Lupin leaves, Dean Thomas wistfully remarks that he hopes they'll have a vampire for their next DADA teacher. There was a vampire at Slughorn's party in book six.

7 We have a bigger fanbase
Really? First of all, the Harry Potter books and movies have sold better internationally than Twilight. Second of all, we have AVPM and the Puppet Pals. Thirdly, I can't hear you over the sound of our THEME PARK.

8 Jackb is so amazing!
Took me a moment to realise she was talking about Jacob. Anyway, did you know Meyer stole ideas from Rowling to create Jacob? More on that in the next one.

9 Harry Potter copied Twilight. Jacob BLACK and serious black both can ride motorcycles and turn into huge dogs. One of the many ways Rowling copies Meyer
This sort of thing makes me really mad, so excuse the rant.
HARRY POTTER STARTED COMING OUT IN THE 90s! Sirius Black was killed in 2003! Twilight wasn't around until 2005, two years after Sirius was dead and gone. Jacob Black doesn't turn out to be a werewolf until later than that! ROWLING WASN'T COPYING MEYER, IT WAS THE OTHER WAY AROUND!
Btw, you misspelled Sirius' name.

10 Stephenie Meyer is flawless....
No she isn't. Twilight is her sex fantasy. Just no. What about Rowling? She was the first person to ever become a billionaire from writing books, but lost her billionaire status because she donated so much money to charities. She has overcome depression, and raised a child (or was it more than one?) as a single mother. Find something that Stephenie has done that is even close to any of that.
