1. Its british. British stuff is never as good as American stuff. America is the top country in the world. I mean, im not trying to brag or anything, but its just a fact that America is the most advanced and powerful country in the world. Twilight is American, Harry Potter is british. Therefore, by logic, Twilight is better. And just because Twilight is american automatically makes it higher quality, just because its America, no matter what you think of the book. I mean, they fought against us and LOST in WW2, right? So seriously, they just aren't as good.
First of all, this is just plain racist. Second of all, Britain has produced amazing actors and actresses (like your own Robert Pattinson) as well as some of the best literature in the world--and I'm not just talking about Harry Potter. Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, the Brontë sisters, J.R.R. Tolkien, and C.S. Lewis were all British. And then there's the legends of King Arthur and Robin Hood as well as Beowulf and Shakespeare. America wouldn't even be what it is today without Britain. Not only is Britain one of the leading contributors to world culture, they also had a massive empire that lasted over 100 years.
(PS: America and Britain were on the same side. And America pretty much didn't lift a finger in the war until the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor.)
2. The Twilight movies stick to the books better. Twilight movies are practically the books, just in film. They stick really closely to the books and don't make weird changes. They are both poetry in motion! Harry Potter directors cut half of the books including some important plotlines.
I agree that the movies could have been closer to the books, but in no way is this a reason. The Harry Potter movies were still amazing and displayed absolutely phenomenal acting from a number of people.
3. The Twilight movies have better music. The soundtracks got me into all these awesome Indian and rock bands music, and all the HP soundtracks are just classical melodies composed by Bethoven and Mozart and other American composers from the 19th century. No words or lyrics! Who the f*ck listens to classical music anyway?
Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha no. Somebody hit this person over the head with sheet music for Hedwig's Theme. Beethoven was German, Mozart was Austrian, and both pretty much lived in the 18th century.
I listen to classical music. I like classical music. I play the cello, so I PLAY classical music. Classical music doesn't need lyrics to be good, and besides, there are a LOT of pieces with words.
4. The Twilight movies don't drastically change the characters' appearances. All of the characters match their descriptions, like Edward, Jacob and Bella – all match their physical descriptions in the books. For example, Dumbledore looked completely different after the first two movies – there were major costume, wig and makeup changes. It was almost like a whole different person. And Malfoy had his hair slicked back in the first 2 movies, and then they just let it out, and then in the 6th movies, they put gel in it again! Make up your mind! And Hermione! She has frizzy hair in the first two, and then cute waves in the rest. I mean seriously, be realistic! Don't change character appearances like that!
Just so you know, Hermione has always been described as having bushy hair in the books. It was Emma Watson turning gorgeous that made her hair different in the movies. And by the way, wasn't Bella described as plain? Why is a gorgeous actress playing her?
As for Dumbledore, the first actor to play him DIED. Might that be why he looks a little bit different? And have you heard of people trying different hairstyles?
5. The villains are unrealistic. They torture and kill people for FUN and that's SICK! They basically have no meaning behind what they do, they only do it for fun and pleasure, what kind of sick people do that? Volturi is a much more realistic and horryfing villian than Voldemort who is a laughable character with a weird laugh. He looks like he has leukimia.
Yes, they do it for fun, but they also do it because they think they're superior. Hitler killed the Jews because he thought Aryans were superior. This kind of racism has been around for centuries. The volturi wanted to kill Renesmee, right? Voldemort wanted to destroy anyone and everyone who wasn't a witch or wizard on his side.
4. The Twilight movies are really meaningful. There's awesome dialogue sequences and they talk about important stuff. The Harry Potter movies are mainly just a ton of action and yes, these is some important dialogue, but not as much as Twilight. And most of the important stuff gets cut out of the movies. Remember the 6th movie? It was almost nothing like the book, and they cut out most of the memories Dumbledore shows Harry!
I haven't seen all of any of the movies, a Twilight or Harry Potter. But let me tell you, when you compare the dialogue between the books, there is a clear winner: Harry Potter.
5. Ok, this isn't a reason why Twilight is better, but I would just like to state that the Harry Potter movies have really good special effects. For example, they made Hagrid look huge, all the characters look freaky and wizardly, and they made a castle and dragons, so go HP special effects guys! And Twilight had awesome special effects too, like the vampires sparkling and the super speed and strength and things like that, not to mention all the blood, so go Twilight special effects guys too!
6. Twilight just has a MUCH better and dynamic plot. It's a masterpiece with emotions, action and romance. In Harry Potter, the action is there, but the plot is very stupid andunrealistic (too much magic)!
It's called fiction. Are sparkling leech-creatures going by the name of vampires realistic? Or shape shifters who call me selves werewolves? I think not. And for crying out loud, it is centered around WITCHES AND WIZARDS. If you don't want magic, read something that isn't fantasy. I've seen so many things saying that there's so much more action in Twilight, but I can't find it. There is no real action. Even the fight at the end of Breaking Dawn never actually happened. If you want to put your emotions to the test, read Harry Potter. There is sacrifice and love and emotion--so much more so than Twilight.
7. The Twilight characters are much better loking and attractive. All ofthe Harry Potter characters apart from Draco are pretty much either average or bad looking.
How many times must I say it?! LOOKS DO NOT MATTER AS LONG AS YOU HAVE A REALISTIC CHARACTER! A realistic character is not going to look like a supermodel. In the stories, Hermione has bushy hair and crooked teeth. Harry has glasses and hair that will never lay flat. Despite being young, Remus Lupin looks old and worn. Nymphadora Tonks, a character that could be the most beautiful person in the world, chooses to have spiky pink hair. Neville Longbottom is definitely not your Prince Charming. Bill, who did look good, was attacked by a werewolf. But these characters are real. They are human. They have flaws and insecurities. They are complex. They have backstories. Do NOT say that the characters of Twilight are better just because of their looks.

FanfictionI personally prefer Harry Potter to Twilight, so if a Twihard reads this, do not be offended by my favoritism. Also if you are a Twihard, please read my section on vampires just so you k ow why I personally can't stand Stephenie Meyer's.
