I personally prefer Harry Potter to Twilight, so if a Twihard reads this, do not be offended by my favoritism. Also if you are a Twihard, please read my section on vampires just so you k ow why I personally can't stand Stephenie Meyer's.

This little guy is a new species and its scientific name is based on Harry Potter!
Its genus name (Harryplax) is not named after the main character of the series, however. The man who discovered the crab is named Harry. I don't know what the -plax is for.
The species name (Severus) is, of course, named after Severus Snape. They decided to name the crab after him because they have had a specimen of this crab for twenty years and only just learned that it was a different species. It hid its true identity for a long time, much like Snape hid his. (Or Snape's loyalties. I call them his identity, but feel free to tell me if you think I shouldn't).
Wow! I've always said that if a modern book or series ever lived on it would be Harry Potter. It's far and away the most expertly written book of this era.
It can never be wholly forgotten if scientists have started naming new species after the characters. Just another thing to add to the list of things HP has got. (Ten books, a play, nine movies, a theme park, a craB WHO IS NAMED AFTER SNAPE). This is starting to get ridiculous, guys.
