Here is a Carl imagine. I might not be able to update everyday because I've been busy lately. I'm taking requests still, I just might not get to them right away. Enjoy

Imagine...

I was seated between Maggie and Michonne on the ground. We all sat around a campfire. It was the only lighting we had, besides the moon. The sun had set just hours ago. I was sharpening a stick with my knife, letting the shards of wood fly off into the fire.

The group and I were looking for a place to stay right now. We weren't to sure what we are doing or where we were headed but we are just looking for a home.

I joined Ricks group a little while ago, they were still having a little bit of trouble trusting me but I think they know now that I won't harm them. I've definitely befriended Maggie and Carl. Maggie is the one who found me, huddled in a corner of a convenient store and Carl is the same age as me so we bonded over the same stuff. Carl is by far the closest friend since the apocalyptic world began.

Beth came and scooted in between Michonne and I. "(Y/N), do you wanna sing with me?" Beth asked in the sweetest southern accent. I looked around at everyone's faces. They were all nodding.

I always loved to sing but I tried to keep it secret but after a duet with Beth back at the prison, I couldn't really keep it from them anymore.

"Sure" I replied with a grin. "What song did you have in mind?" I asked looking at Beth. "Follow my lead. I know, you know it" Beth answered. She began with...

"And that. That's a relief. We'll drink up"
I joined in
"Our grief and pine for summer. And we'll buy a beer to shot gun and we'll lay in the lawn, and we'll be good".

"I don't mean to interrupt your beautiful voices but (Y/N), do you think you and Carl could go get some more fire wood?" Rick asked in a raspy tone. "Of course, sorry Beth" I stated grabbing knife and Carl's arm, helping him up. "C'mon lazy ass" I laughed at Carl.

We wandered into the forest, equipped with a knife in my pocket and a gun in Carl's. "So, what happened when you found out about the apocalypse?" Carl asked. "I was sitting at home, watching my little sister and my mom had come home already but. My dad, well... He didn't come home. My mom died and it was me and my sister from then on" I told him. "What happened to your sister?" He asked concerned. "I don't really like to talk about it but I'll tell you. We were getting supplies and I told her not to let go of my hand. However, she let go to get a bag of cookies and the store flooded with walkers and I lost her" I said remembering the moment and beginning to cry.

Carl turned to me and put his hand on my cheek, wiping away some of the tears that had fallen from my eyes. I smiled and leaned my head against his hand.

We continued our walk, trying to quiet not to attract any walkers but because we're best friends we were obviously laughing.

I spotted a good looking tree up ahead and began to climb it. "C'mon Carl, follow me" I shouted. He laughed at my child-like actions and began to climb slowly behind me.

I settled myself on a strong branch not to far up from the ground, this way if I need to escape I can just jump. I swung my leg over the branch, making it easier to sit. Carl came up next to me and say the same as me.

We sat comfortably on the tree, not worrying about this stupid world. Rick won't be worried if we are late, he knows Carl and I will joke around.

Carl and I started to talk about our old life and our life now. We joked and conversed about some things we've seen on runs. "How come you never sing alone in front of me?" Carl asked. "I don't know, nervousness I guess" I answered. "Sing for me" he exclaimed. "Cause that. That gets messy and you will hurt me or I'll disappear. So we will drink beer all day and our guards will give way. And we'll be good" I sang perfectly. "That was nice. Your voice is beautiful. That's the last thing I wanna hear when I die" he said. I smiled at his kind words. We continued jokes for a while and we burst out into a mutual laughing fit and that's when I saw it.

I pointed up ahead to a herd of walkers that were coming towards the tree. "Oh shit" I muttered. "Of course" Carl said under his breath.

The walkers surrounded the tree and there was no way out. Carl began crying, he never cries, something was up. "I'm gonna save you" Carl stated. "What? How?" I asked very concerned. Carl didn't give me an answer he pulled me into a hug. His arms wrapped tightly around my waist and mine around his neck. "Carl, what's wrong?" I asked again. "Just jump and run okay. You'll know when" Carl instructed. "What are you gonna do?" I asked again getting mad and upset. "I love you, don't let me die for nothing" Carl said. "Are you crazy? What are you doing?" I screamed at him. "Goodbye, (Y/N)" Carl whispered, falling into the pile of walkers.
"NNNNNNOOOO" I yelled, tears already pouring from my eyes. I jumped down from the tree and looked at him as I walked by.

Walkers tore into his flesh, ripping out his insides and consuming him as he screamed in pain. I cried some more and sand "and we'll be good" because that was the last thing I wanted him to hear, not the groaning sound of walkers.

I ran back to the group, crying. Rick ran over to me. "Where's Carl?" He asked clueless. I couldn't get any words out. I fumbled with my words and I think my crying quietly told him.

Rick began to cry, falling to the ground and yelling at the sky. I laid down with him, hugging him and crying next to him. I liked around at the group as I whimpered on the ground. They all had sympathetic looks on their faces. We laid there, crying all night long. I didn't know I could cry myself dry but I did.

I will always remember his last phrase and everyday I try to live up to it. "Don't let me die for nothing". Carl's death might have killed me but it's that phrase that keeps me going.
