I finally had time to write one. It is really short but I hope you enjoy.

Imagine...

I ran.

Although, I'm not really sure where I was running to, I didn't stop. All I knew was that I had probably four walkers behind me, chasing me hoping to get a taste of my flesh.

My breathing slowed down and I searched for a place hide, as I kept running. That's when I fell.

I had tripped on roots from a tree. I yelled out for help but no one came.

The walkers had fallen on top of me and I pushed its rotting head away from my neck, hoping someone would come and save me.

"HELP!! SOMEBODY!" I screamed out.  I was startled at the sound of four gun shots, missing my head but going to the head of the walkers. Brains and blood spattered next to me. I was a little surprised someone had saved me  I was scared yet intrigued to see who pulled the trigger.

I pushed the disgusting bodies off of me and stood up. There stood a boy, about a year older than me. He had chocolate brown locks that reached his jawline and sky- blue eyes. He was covered in a light layer of sweat that glistened due to the sun light. The flannel shirt he was wearing was torn up a little and so were his pants. His shoes, covered in dirt. The only thing that had no dirt on it was the sheriffs hat that sat on top of his head.

I watched as he pushed his gun back into its holster and I broke the silence with "thanks for saving me". "No problem" he replied in a deep and raspy voice. "What are you doing out here alone?" The boy asked, looking around for others. "My group was over run, I was the only survivor" I said sadly. "Parents?" He asked. "Dead" I whispered.

"How many walkers have you killed?" He asked.
"To many to count" I answered
"How many people have you killed?"
"One"
"Why?"
"She didn't want to turn. She asked me to" I explained.

"Would you like to come to my camp? We'd be happy to take you" the boy stated. "Of course,'I'm (Y/N) by the way" I told him. "Carl, it's nice to meet you" carl informed me with a bright smile.

This was exciting. I hadn't seen anyone my age since this apocalypse began now there are others! This could be the start of something new, something amazing.
