My prediction had been correct. My mom had freaked.
I wasn't even sure if me and Nick were officially boyfriend and girlfriend. We hadn't DTR'd (for any of you who haven't seen Awkward, that means defined the relationship), but that kiss definitely wasn't just for fun. Although I'm not going to lie it was pretty fun.
My mom started asking me questions about Nick and I'd told her about the drama with Jess. My mom gets all the gossip. I bet she loves me.

I woke up the next morning and got ready. Had my early morning joke swap with mother dearest and left for school.
Upon arrival I went to do what I'd do every other day, however before I could enter the library, I was summoned over by Gabby.
"Lena! Over here!" She called from the other side of the school yard.
I walked over and was greeted with a hug from both Gabby and Sam.
"You did remember your things for tonight didn't you?" Sam asked, raising her eyebrow.
"Of course I did. I'm excited. I've never had a sleepover before." I was met with mouths agape. The two girls looked like I'd just told them I was from Mars.
"Well, rest assured there's going to be plenty of sleepovers from now on."
Just then Nick walked over with Shane and Daniel.
"Hey there Princess." He winked at me as he put his arm over my shoulder.
"Hey." I smiled up at him, my measly 5"3 body looking minuscule compared to his 6" body. I wasn't even expecting him to kiss me because we were with his friends, but he did.
"Oh aren't you two just the cutest." Jess spat as she joined the group.
"Jess, just piss off already will you?" Nick snapped.
"Fine. Come on Gabby. Sam." She went to walk away but stopped when she realised the other two weren't following. "Didn't you hear me? I said lets go." She was starting to get impatient.
"No." Sam stated adamantly.
"What?" Jess looked shocked.
"She said no. And I'm saying no too." Gabby folded her arms as she said it.
"Oh you've got to be fucking kidding me." Jess raised her voice.
"No. Jess. You've got to be fucking kidding me. I'm sick and tired of you ordering us around. I've had it. You think you're so much better than everyone when really, everyone hates you. None of us want you around. We've been trying to get rid of you for at least a year. Just get the picture and leave. I refuse to let you order me around anymore."
We all stood there, silence surrounding us for a few minutes, before Jess had come up with what she wanted to say.
"Fine. But just so you know, I don't need any of you. I can easily go and find some other desperate wannabes and make them popular."
"That's the thing Jess," Sam said in annoyance, "you're not liked by anyone. Everyone hates you. You always have to be the centre of attention. You always have to be better than everyone else but you're not. You constantly put me down and make me feel like absolute crap and you've not stopped being an absolute bitch about Lena since Nick told us about her. And from what I can tell, she's the loveliest girl I've ever had the pleasure of getting to know. Just piss off and leave us all alone."
Jess stormed off screaming.
"Sorry about that. I'd just had enough of that bitch." Sam said sweetly.
"Don't worry about it Sam babe." Daniel said as he slung his arm around her. "We've all wanted to say the exact same thing!"
"Ew, get off me you goon." Sam said as she slapped him round the face.
The bell went to signify registration and the group said goodbyes.
"I'll see you later in English. And don't let anyone sit by you. That seat is reserved for yours truly." Nick said to me as he lent his head to kiss me goodbye.
"Aye aye captain!" I said and signalled him.
