A walk through the park

Months had passed. Willow was recovering mentally and physically. She had times when she would flip out and then run. But she always went to the same place for comfort. Gibbs. He would talk some sense in to her, well, more like she would talk some sense into herself and he would listen. Gibbs didn't talk much. He did listen, though. And occasionally gave his advice when necessary.

Willow was back in school. Her junior year of high school. She got up at 6:00 as usual. Willow yawned and laid in bed for an extra ten minutes or so. She got up, feeling very lazy, and threw on the nearest outfit she could find, threw her hair in a messy bun, and went downstairs for some food.

After eating her usual breakfast, a bowl of fruity pebbles and lucky charms mixed, she left for school. She decided to walk, since she was early. It would help her clear her head anyways and hopefully cause her not to flip out today.

She walked down the sidewalk, by a park. At the park, she decided to sit down on a nearby bench. A guy was going by on a skateboard. He saw her and half smiled.

She smiled back at him and sort of waved. As soon as she did so, he wobbled around and fell off his skateboard with a grunt.

She sort of laughed at first, then he wen over to him. "You okay?"

He looked up and kinda laughed. "Yeah. I probably look like an idiot don't I?"

"Kinda," Willow laughed. She helped him up. "What's your name?"

"I'm Mike. Mile Reagan.What's-"

"I'm Willow, Willow DiNozzo," she interrupted.

He kinda smiled. "That's a cool name."

"Where were you headed before you fell?"

"Just to mountain ridge high down the road."

"Really? I've never seen you there before.. I go there."

"This is my first day. Just moved here from West Virginia."

"Oh that's cool." They started walking towards the school and talking.

Willow had to admit, she enjoys talking to someone outside of her family. She didn't have many friends at her school. No one worth talking to, at least.

"Well," she said as they came into the building, "I hope you find your way around. Here's a tip: even if you are lost, don't look it. You'll get help from really weird kids."

He smiled at her as she walked away. The smile sent a shiver through her whole body. She went through the rest of the day in sort of a haze.

~~~
"Willow? Hey Willow!"
She snapped out of the haze she was in. Tony was trying to get her attention. She took another bite of her dinner that was in front of her.
"Yeah?"
"I asked you how your day was at school..."
"Oh. Yeah. It was fine."
He was suspicious. "Anything special happen?"
"Yeah."
"Care to share?"
"No."
"Really, Willow?"
"I just met someone new. That's it."
"Oh," Tony lightened up. "Assuming you two hit it off, what's your new friend's name?"
She hesitated for a moment. She'd never had a guy friend before and her dad would probably get the wrong idea. "Well, we didn't really hit it off, EXACTLY. I mean, yeah we're friends and all but not like extreme, can't live without, friends."
"Okay? What's the name?"
"Mike. Mike Reagan," she said as she poked at her food.
"It's a guy..? Okay then..."
She glanced up at him and then her mom. Andy was playing around with his food. Ziva came quickly to stop him. "Andy, stop playing with your food or I'll take it away."
He whined a little.
"Don't even start with the whining. I will not tolerate that."
He stopped whining immediately. The rest of the dinner was a little awkward. After dinner, Willow hung out for a little while in her room. She stayed in there and read a book.
Tony and Ziva sat on the couch watching tv. Ziva looked over at him. "So what do you think? About mike Reagan?"
"I don't like it. I want to meet him before anything gets too serious."
"You heard her. they're jus friends."
"Zi, I saw the way she was smiling and blushing as she talked about him. It's going to get serious soon. And I don't trust anyone with her unless I know them."
Ziva considered all that and nodded. "I agree..."
He kissed her head and then got up. "I'm going to bed. You gonna join me?"
Ziva nodded. "I'll be there in a few minutes."
He went on up to bed and Ziva sat for a few minutes, thinking about everything. She wasn't sure if she was ready to let Willow start dating yet. It was all so serious.
She went upstairs finally and retired for the night. She climbed into bed next Tony and snuggled up close to him he put an arm around her. "Love ya, Zi."
"I love you as well, Tony..."
