Willow had her license for a while now. she injured her left foot, so she could still drive since you only use you're right foot. Unfortunately, that made her the automatic ride for Andy anywhere when she got her first car.

"Willow can you take me to the library? I gotta get a book for my science project."

"I'm a little busy right now, andy."

"Mom and dad said you have to."

Willow rolled her eyes. Of course they did. She grabbed her keys and purse. "Fine. Come."

She drove him across the bridge to their huge library. It had seven stories. It was one of the world's largest libraries, which was pretty cool. The kids section was, for some reason, waaaaay up on the top floor.

Willow and Andy took the elevator up. She saw him getting really anxious. "What's wrong, andy??"

He looked like he was going to pass out. "You know I'm afraid of heights."

"You're eleven now. Can't you just ignore it? You look sick."

"I feel sick."

Willow rolled her eyes and stepped off the elevator. She went to the kids science section. "Go find your book."

He looked for a book. There was one right next to the window that looked good. He went over and grabbed it, but caught glimpse of how high they were. He felt sick to his stomach and the bottom of his feet began to tingle like they had fallen asleep.

He ran back to willow and they went back down. Into the car and headed home, andy remained silent.

The bridge was nearly empty. A few cars ahead of them, a few cars behind them. Suddenly, the bridge collapsed. It was way in front of them. Willow stepped on her brakes and put the car into park about twenty feet from it.

"Let's go see if someone is hurt."

Willow and Andy got out and ran up. People were freaking out. They were pointing below. One lady was crying.

Willow came up. "What's wrong??" She asked one guy.

"A kid fell down in there. She's hanging on by a beam, but she's just a child."

Willow peered over the edge. It wasn't too far down. She looked at the other people. Most were older and in bad shape.

Willow looked down again. It was a long fall after that. But the child was four, maybe five. She was crying and hugging a metal beam, holding on for her life.

Willow looked at the people. Then she sat on the edge. She slowly lowered herself down. Andy grabbed her arm. "What are you doing?! Don't you see how far down that is???"

"Someone has to help." Willow shook him off and started climbing down. It was pretty easy.

She reached the child, grabbed her, and started climbing up. It was so much harder with the extra weight. Her hand slipped on a beam, but she caught herself a beam below.

"Andy! You have to take her!" She called up. She was probably about five feet from the edge. Just far enough out of reach.

"What!? I can't do that!!"

A man behind Andy said, "you can if I help. I'll hold you if you'll grab her."

"Andy," Willow called out, "I can't climb up with her. Please do this!"

Andy sighed. "You don't really give me much choice."

He looked over the edge below her. He grew nauseous and his feet tingled. "I can't do it!"

"Yes you can!"

Andy grabbed the man's arm and the man put his foot on andys, then lowered him. Andy's foot slipped on the loose gravel and he flipped out. The man pulled him back.

"I can't do it!"

Willow looked at him. "I can't hold on much longer. You have to try again!"

He tried again. Willow lifted the child as much as she could. Andy grabbed onto her and she helped as much as she could to hold onto his one arm.

With the help of two more adults, the child made it back safely. Willow climbed the rest of the way up with ease.

She got over the edge and hugged Andy. "I'm so proud of you!"

He had Overcome his Fear. Now they just had to get home...
