Willow paced the floor. She hadn't sat down since Andy had gone into surgery six hours ago. The doctor said the procedure would last about five and a half hours, so she was worried.
Jake refused to leave until he knew everything was okay. Tony and ziva had sat down long ago. Willow still refused to sit. Jake was sitting on a comfy couch. He invited willow at least every hour.
"Willow, just sit down already," He said for the sixth time.
"No! He should be out by now! Unless something went wrong..."
Ziva looked at tony. Then back at willow. She always knew that Willow was protective over Andy. But it was only now that she really noticed it.
"Willow, he is going to be fine."
As if magic, the doctor came in just then. "I have some good news."
Willow was the first to him. "What is it? Is Andy okay?"
"He is just fine, room 276."
Willow didn't hesitate for a second. She darted past the doctor to room 276. Jake was on her heels while Tony and ziva talking details with the doctor.
Willow walked in and found Andy sitting up Andy's eating some chocolate pudding. His head was bandaged and he was in a hospital gown. Other than that, he looked fine.
"Andy! You're okay!" Willow stood a few steps away from him.
Andy nodded. "Yeah they gave me some really good chocolate pudding, too."
Willow smiled. "Good..."
Jake walked up. "Andy, my man! How are you feeling?"
"I'm fine. My head hurts a little but it's not bad."
"That's good."
Andy was happy. He liked Jake a lot and would go on and on talking about him. Tony and ziva came in. They obsessed over Andy for a bit while Jake went home and willow settled down next to Andy on a chair.
~~~
Andy came home a few days later. They had to make sure he was fine, which he was. They got home later in the night.
Willow was slightly clingy to her brother since his near death experience. He accepted it happily. He trusted Willow.
He went to bed a little early because he was tired. Willow decided to go to bed too. However, she couldn't sleep. All she could think about was the way that she and Andy fought and how she could almost have never seen him again.
It was about midnight when her door creaked open. Willow flipped on her lamp on the side of her bed. "Andy? What're you doing up?"
He came in her room in his pajamas. "Can't sleep..."
Willow stared at him for a minute. Then she pulled back the blanket. "Come here..."
Andy climbed into bed, facing her. Willow smiled a little. "Remember that time when mom and dad forced me to share a bed with you that one Christmas?? You kept kicking me!"
Andy laughed a little. "Yeah... and then you slept on that chair the rest of the week."
Willow's smile faded. "I'm really sorry about our fight... I didn't mean all I said and I just..."
"I get it... I was being a jerk to you. I shouldn't have told Jake all those embarrassing things..."
Willow put a hand on Andy's face. "Don't apologize. Nothing was your fault..."
Andy smiled a little. Willow sighed, "I would've been mad if you didn't come back..."
Andy Smiled slightly as his eyes closed in sleep. He was exhausted and didn't feel safe until he was there, with his big sis.
Willow smiled and kissed his forehead. "Love you, bud..."
Willow fell asleep happy. She was happy to have Andy back. Happy that he was Okay.
