Unknown's P.O.V.

I'm half half, I thought, I must be a nymph. I'm a joke to my parents.

And when the clock strikes twelve, my nightmare will begin. After my youth years, I will now suffer the consenquence of having such mom and dad.

Fuck this life.

Wait, that is so like my dad and I don't wanna be like him. Ever. I wanna be like my mom. But, the thing is, it's already decided. I'll be a bit of them - the two of them - in just a matter of hours. One that I can control and one that I can't. I have no choice; so, before that can even happen, let me be completely like her.

I have to leave now and do the right thing - that's what she'll do. I can't let anyone that I love get hurt...

I have to go...

"You're not leaving," a familiar voice said. Rolling my eyes, I turned to face him. He was leaning on the tree, playing with a sharp pointed object on his hands - the dagger that only their kind can take a hold of - something to end someone like me.

"When will you stop doing that?" I shrugged, smirking.

"Told you, I can't," he chuckled. "I have no control over it. We're connected."

"You have," I protested. "You can't read me when I'm not around. You're just too dumb, following my parents' order."

"Just doing my job," he winced. Stepping closer to me, he hid the dagger inside his coat.

"Well, then, kill me," I snapped, opening my arms to give him a good shot. "That's your job."

"You're not a pain in the ass. Yet. And, I'm not letting you be," he said. "I'm your protector. I'm your best friend. We'll do everything to control whatever beast you'll unleash tonight."

"But, that's it," I shook my head, starting towards the gate that separates us from the outside world. "My case is rare. As rare as having control over it."

"We'll find a way," he said, following me closely. "You can't just leave. It's dangerous!"

"It's me that's dangerous!" I said, almost yelling as I faced him. "Can't you see? Its not this world or of my mom's or my fucking dad's! It's not the world outside! It's me! No matter where I am, I am the problem! And, as far as I'm concerned, I don't want anyone to get hurt! Not everyone that I love! Not my mom! Not even you! You're like a brother to me! So, let me go. Just let me go."

"But," he started but closed his mouth immediately and looked down. He continued; "if I let you, you'd be... I'll have to..."

I sighed, patting him as he looked back at me with teary eyes. "I know. And I want you to promise me something. Someday, when we meet again and you know I had enough, kill me."

"I can't," his eyes widen as he shook his head.

"You can," I smiled, tapping the side of his coat where I know the dagger is, reminding him of his duty.

"I don't know," he muttered. "I can't promise you."

I pulled him in a hug. I trust you with everything, I thought.

Pulling away, I gave him one last smile before I left him there, watching me as I step out of the outside world to welcome the monster in me.
