Jack

I looked at the two kids in front of me. We sat a table at McDonalds. No one was eating. The kids just say waiting for me to explain what the hell was going on. But to tell the truth I didn't know myself.

"What's going on?" the boy name Gram asked. I told him enough to get him to come but now I didn't know what to say.

"A few days ago people we loved disappeared. Now I think it connected." I said.

"How?" the boy named Jeremy said.

"I don't know but whatever the connection I'm going to find out. I want you to help me." I said.

"Look I want to get whoever took Jen but I can't give up my life. I'd do anything for Jen But I'm just now getting my grades back up. I love Jen, But my parents won't let me be with her if it affects my school performance." Gram said.

"Don't worry they won't even know you are gone." I said. Gram thought about it, and finally nodded his head.

 "How" Jeremy said.

"Long story, I'll explain it on the way." I said as I got up.

"Where?" Jeremy said.

"Our last stop."

Grant

I looked up at Angel. Her short blonde hair just barely covering her glasses. She looked at me and smiled. Her hair wasn't always blonde. She dyed it that way. I liked it when it was dark but against all my protest she did it anyways. I had no say. I wasn't her boyfriend. Even though I wish I was. But I was too old for her by her parent's standards. I told her how I felt about her and she told me how she felt about me. Not a happy day for me. We've fought in the past. And every single time I lost her friendship. I was being carful now. We were back on good terms and I was happy. She continued to sand the wing to our glider and I continued to cut the other wing. The teacher had stepped out for the moment. We were by ourselves. I stood up and went to the cabinet to grab another piece of wood.

"Grab me another piece of sand paper since you're over there? Please puppy?" she said. I closed my eyes and breathed. That was her pet name for me. At first I didn't like it but it grew on me. I grabbed another piece of wood and sand paper. When I turned around she was gone. The wing and the sandpaper had fallen to the floor.

"Angel? This isn't funny." I said. I looked around the classroom. I checked the supplies closet and the next class room over. She was nowhere to be found.

I stepped out of the classroom and checked the hallway. Still no Angel. I left the science hallway and started to look for her. I glanced out into the parking lot and saw a man and 2 boys walking up the walkway. I paid no attention to them. I started walking in the other direction. I heard the doors behind me open and the man called out.

"Excuse me, can you help us?" he asked.

"Yes", I said as I turned around and walked towards them.

"We're looking for Grant Tanner, can you help us?" he said. I had never met this man, so I was scared.

"That's me, can I help you?" I said slowly trying to get away.

"Yes, I'm Jack Tanner, this is Jeremy Morgan, And Gram Talon. We would like to speak to you." He said. I fell to the ground as he said those names. I started to crawl away as they got closer.

"No! That's impossible. You can't be" I said. I turned around and ran. I heard the man call out to me to come back. I then heard footsteps behind me. If they were who I thought they were, I stood no chance. I got ready to turn the corner when I was tackled to the ground. The boy who was supposedly Gram was on top of me, holding me down, barely out of breath. The other two came running behind him.

"What did I say?" the man asked.

"You can't be who you say you are?" I said.

"Why?" he asked.

"Because I came up with those names. You can't be real"
