"You're still up? Doesn't it hurt?" he asks.

"Not really. Kellin, I can't find any scars that I should have. I think I'm just hallucinating, but if I showed you where could you tell me if they were actually gone?" I ask.

"Uh, yeah. Are you feeling, okay?" he asks looking concerned.

"Yeah, please just believe me and come look," I say grabbing his arm. He follows me to the bathroom, and when I show him places where I know there should be scars and places he knows there should be scars he gets a look of horror on his face.

       "Th-they're gone," he stutters.

"So, I'm not hallucinating?" I ask. My face pales and an icy hand from fear trails down my back.

"I don't think so. Could this have something to do with you not being affected by bites and scratches?" he asks.

"I don't know. All I know is it's terrifying, and I don't like it. I should ask Addison, she'd know," I say. He nods in agreement, and we walk back to the infirmary. When Addison sees me standing she comes rushing over.

"Why are you up, Delilah? You shouldn't be up," she asks.

"It doesn't hurt, and I had to clear something up. Addison, something weird is happening. I have no scars where I should. I even had Kellin check, and you can check if you want," I say.

"Let me see," she says. I go through the same process I went through with Kellin, and when I finish she stands there with her lips pursed.

"Well, any idea what's happening?" I ask hopefully.

"Let me take your bandages off," she says moving in close.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. I have no clothes on. Are you crazy?" I ask wrapping my arms around myself.

"Let's go in your room then," she says. She takes my bandages off when we get in my room, and my wounds are almost completely healed. On top of that the scar that should be on my side is gone. That's when panic begins to set in. I begin shaking, and I almost collapse from it. I have what I call miniseizures. It's where I get really shaky and freeze up like a seizure, but it's not a seizure because I never black out or freeze up for longer than a few seconds. I curl into a ball on the floor covering my bare torso from view, but at the same time allowing myself to see the wounds that should be disgusting and the missing scars. I begin sobbing because I have no idea what's happening to me, and I hear Addison's voice, but it seems so far away. I know Kellin comes in because I recognize his touch, and he wraps a blanket around me before cradling me in his lap. Now none of my torso is able to be seen, but I still feel exposed.

"Can you get me a shirt, please? Like one of the ones with a thumb hole and also my hoodie?" I ask looking into his pale blue eyes.

"Yeah, I can get that for you. Do you want me to see if Addison will let you leave? That way you can go to sleep somewhere other than here," he asks.

"That would be nice," I mumble.

"I'll be back," he says. He leaves the room, and I hear hushed whispers from the other room. Kellin comes back in and looks at me. With a bright smile he says, "She said you can go. I guess she figured you needed to be away from here right now."

"Yay, but there's an issue. I don't have a shirt, and I'd rather not walk around and show people everything," I say.

"Well then, I'll wrap you up and carry you there like a baby. Does that work for you?" he asks.

"I'm curious if you're serious, so yeah it's fine," I say. At that he bends over, wraps the blanket around me several times, and picks me up. It's more bridal style than carrying a baby, but then again I'm a lot bigger than a baby, so I guess it works. My head rests on his chest as he walks toward the room where we sleep. For once since all this started I feel safe. I mean I don't feel at home nor do I feel complete because I saw my parents die, and almost all of my friends from school are missing. I wish I could cry, but I'm tired of crying, so I force the tears away. When we get to the room he sets me down gently, finds me a shirt like I asked for, finds me my under clothing, finds my hoodie, and then hands them all to me.

"I'll turn around and stand in the corner until you tell me you're good," he says. He walks to a corner and leans his face into it. I quickly ditch the blanket and put my clothes on. The few seconds without my clothes was pure hell because it's freezing in here. As soon as my hoodie is on I yawn and stretch.

"You're good. I can't wait to sleep. I'm so tired. I could sleep for forever I think. I'm guessing it's whatever is happening with the healing that's causing me to be tired," I say with a massive yawn. He laughs and walks over. As he starts to sit I hear footsteps coming this way.

"Oh my heavens. Who could it be now?" I sigh.

"I don't know, but it doesn't sound like Dylan," Kellin says.

"Delilah, you still up?" I recognize the quiet whisper as Warren's voice.

       "Yeah, what's up?" I ask.

       "Can we talk?" he asks.

"Uh, yeah. One sec," I say. I get up slowly because I'm so tired and stumble from the room. I meet him in the hall and give him a questioning look.

"I'm sorry to bother you, but I wanted to say I'm happy for you. I mean about your power. That's something I didn't pick up from you," he says.

"How'd you find out?" I ask.

"I was visiting Magic when everything went down, and I heard on accident. I wasn't trying to eavesdrop," he says.

"Don't worry about it. I understand completely," I say with a massive yawn.

"Well, I'll let you sleep now. Night, Delilah," he says.

"Night, Warren," I say. I go back into the room and lay down on the floor. I curl into Kellin's side, and he wraps an arm around me.

"Night, Delilah. I love you," he says.

"Night, Kellin. I love you," I say. I kiss him, and then I let sleep consume me.
