"What do you mean, Max?" I ask. He ignores me and leaves. I go to follow him, but by the time I get in the hall he's gone. I drop to the floor in tears. I feel two arms wrap around me, but I shove the person away. I stand up and run. I run and run and run, and I don't stop until I'm outside in a dark place by some woods. An owl screeches as it catches its prey, and a wolf howls somewhere in the woods. I start crying. "Why God? Why take this from me? Max is probably going to commit suicide, and I'm worthless because I hurt those I'm closest too!" I scream out. I know God will hear me because he hears everything. I wish I had my knife because then I could relieve my pain, and that's when I hear something. It sounds like footsteps, but on top of the footsteps a weird growling sound. I move away from the woods, and I decide to go sit in the shady area that everyone sat in after we finished the gate. I sit there for only God knows how long before I hear some people calling my name and movement around me. I ignore it though and sit there staring at the ground with random thoughts shooting through my head. Someone touches my shoulder, and I look at them. It's Jen.

"Hey, Delilah. So, you probably think I'm here to take you back inside, but I refuse to make you do anything, so I brought you some blankets and a pillow," she says handing them over.

"Thanks, Jen. I have to ask, how's Max?" I ask.

"No one can find him. He pretty much just disappeared into thin air. I looked for him for a while, but then I decided it'd be better to take care of the person I knew where they were, if that makes any sense," she says. I nod and look back at the ground. "Hey, don't worry he'll show up. He has before, remember?"

"I know he will, but I'm afraid he'll show up dead instead of alive," I say as tears slip from my eyes.

"Why are you worried about that?" she asks.

"Because of what he said before he left," I say.

"It'll be okay. I'm going to go and tell everyone to leave you alone, okay?" she asks.

"Yeah. Thanks again, Jen," I say with a small smile.

"No problem," she says with a smile. She walks off, and I put one huge blanket down to sleep on, and I put the pillow in the top middle of it. I then lie down and cover myself with two of the blankets. I should stay nice and warm even though it's chilly out here. I close my eyes, and I let sleep take over me as fast as possible. The last thing i notice is the sound of someone coming near me.
