Evangeline Hemmings

That day at school I couldn't pay attention to any of my lessons, all that was running through my mind was that dream. I had made Alice stay home and work on her impulse control training today, and I think that I may have to talk to Luke about pulling her out of school, at least until she's under control of herself again.

My last period of the day was a study hour, and my whole group of friends had it too. " Gisa, I can't stay and hang out today, Alice is, uh, sick and I need to go and check up on her. " I said, giving her a quick hug and began to walk home.

I pulled out my phone and sent Luke a quick text, To Luke: Kept Alice home today, call me asap!!

Continuing walking I pulled up my hood and slipped my headphones in. The music helped take my mind of everything that was happening.

Reaching home I walked in and quickly bounded up the stairs to Alice's room and knocked on the door. I didn't receive an answer, so I slowly opened the door, and was oddly relieved for a moment to find it empty.

The relief only lasted a few short seconds until I realized the room was empty. Alice wasn't in her room, so where the hell was she?

Running was all I could think to do. It was like a soft whisper in my ear, "Run Alice, keep running, don't stop"

The hot tears streamed down my cheeks, which was a weird feeling running through the freezing cold snow. Her chest started to tighten up from running but she couldn't stop, she had to keep going. When Evangeline gets home and sees what happened, what I did, it is all over for me. I have to get away from here because I cannot die, I will not die.

After finding Alice's room empty I went to search the rest of the house. Immediately I thought the training room, so I ran downstairs and into the training room and the sight there was like a punch to my gut.

There was blood, and it was everywhere. In the center of it all was Margo, lying dead and presumably drained of all her blood. I was kneeling on the floor, just gaping at the sight before me. It was worse than I thought, way worse.

" Margo? " I sobbed, hoping she may still be alive. Grabbing her hand it was cold, and well, lifeless.

" I'm so sorry. I'm so so sorry. " I sobbed, this was my fault that Margo was dead. I should never have left Alice here alone with her.

Alice was gone, most likely on the run now. She had killed and her running away made it ten times worse than it is.

Doing the only thing I knew was right, I pulled out my phone and dialed Luke's phone number.

" I'm busy what do you need? " He says annoyed.

" It's Alice, she drained Margo and now she's gone. " I whispered.
