  Entry one;

    Dad woke up, 36 seconds. Pain. That's all he said before the nurses rushed in with medications, taking him out again. "It's too early"  they say. "We don't have the tools to keep him awake, let alone out of pain" I hear. But that's rubbish. They know as long as he's here, out lawyers paying them big money to get him healthy. I hate hospitals. I hate everything about them. They keep you in there as long as possible, having you take "necessary" medications to keep you there. I wonder if they'll let dad wake up again anytime soon. I hope. For now I have to go. Garrett's here, Bye.   -Alexandra

     "So what are we doing today?" I ask as I throw a plush basketball into the basket, but missed and hit Garrett instead. He chuckled and threw it up in the basket hanging from his wall. "I was thinking just video games, and maybe coffee a little bit later, if you want?" He suggested, sitting up and shrugging his shoulders.I nod in agreement and moved over so he could flop beside me. I grab the red controller he held up, and resumed his game on Destiny as he gave up on fighting droids. Killing off the last 2 I go back to the home screen and choose my own character before choosing the 3rd mission, don't get me wrong I've played this multiple times now it's just I seem to love this mission more than any of them. Just something about it makes me excited I guess. After going on for about 13 minutes, I hear Garrett's soft snores and I laugh softly. I look back, he looks like a kid when he sleeps. I smile and reach over him to get a blanket to cover him up, and as if on cue he snaps awake and grabs my wrist, pulling me on him laughing. He wraps his arms around me and I cuddle in, "I was getting you a blanket yanno?" I point out, he smiles, "I know. But I like this better". I smile, shake my head and close my eyes.

      I jolt awake instantly, and Garrett jumps up and grabs my arm, "Don't." He says. We sit in silence for what seemed like forever before he tries to pull me a little closer. That's when I realize how bad I was sweating, I pull away and run to the bathroom, locking myself in. I sit in front of the door with my knees up to my chest and just cry. It was about ten minutes later when the knock came. "Al, you can't stay in there forever. Let me in, it'll be alright." I hear him say softly through the door. "I know it's hard, but he'll be okay. Your mom's watching over both him and you and she loves you both very much." He adds. I start to tear up again, "Stop it." I say, slowly standing up. I look at myself in the mirror on top of the sink, and seeing my runny nose and my messy hair and my crooked smile, and my face that still wasn't fully mine, I take a deep breath. I turn and open the bathroom door, and he smiles. "God, you look awful." He says, "Shut up' I murmured, turning back to the mirror. "Work your magic." I say. He smiles and sits me on the counter, running to his sisters room he grabs all the makeup he can find and the hair straighter. "Alright, lets do this." He says, walking back in with the tote of 'makeup' his sister hoards. "Alright." I say, amused by his love for cosmetology.
