13. Noah Schults

Ok, I can do this. No I can't.  Yes I can. No I can't. Why can't I?

Oh hi there if you don't know why I'm talking to myself, it's because I'm trying to get up my courage to ask out my crush. Her name is Hallie, and she's gorgeous. Well in my eyes at least. She has curly black hair that goes down to her waist and chocolate brown eyes.

My best friend Annabeth said that I should just go and ask her.

" Just go and ask her." Annabeth said while closing her book. Annabeth looked up at me and gave me this look. It practically screamed go and do it or I  will hurt you.

Ok maybe not, but I'm really nervous. What if she doesn't like me. What if she turns me down. Ughh, maybe I should just chicken out.

"Ok, I guess I'll go do it for you."  Annabeth said getting up from the table. I jumped up and grabbed her wrist.

"No you don't have to, I'm doing it right now." I told her and turned around heading for the outside doors. Right when I got outside, I looked back at the doors wondering if I  should just go back inside and wait till after school.

No, Annabeth will just get mad and say to man up. I walk up to the big tree in the front of the school and tap her on the shoulder. She turns around and her eyes seem to brighten. Here goes nothing.

"Hi Hallie, can I talk to you alone?" I ask her. I don't want to ask her out in front of all her friends. She looks bak at her friends and they are all giggling and giving her a knowing look. Huh, wonder what thats about.

"Ok." I lead her to a bench by the tennis court and sit down with her sitting down by me.

"Ok uhh, Hallie will you go out with me?" I force myself to look in her eyes amd not look away in fear.

"Yeah, I would really like that." Hallie answered with a big smile on her face.

"Ok do you want to go to that ice cream shop downtown, then go to a movie? Tomorrow, of course."

"Sounds exciting, yeah I can't wait. See you tomorrow." She got up and ran back to her friends and told them something. They all smiled and said something back.

Can't wait for tomorrow.

"Wow, you look really nice Hallie." I tlld her when I picked her up. It's not that she always looks bad, no, it's  just that I didn't think she would dress up for the date. She had a pretty dress that was navy blue, with vans.

She blushed and said thanks. She usually doesn't wear dresses so...

I took her to my car and we drove to the ice cream shop. We walked in and got in the line.

"What kind are you gonna get?" I ask her.

"Rocky Road, my favorite." She says looking at the glass case at the different flavors of ice cream. "What you gonna get?"

"Uhh, cookie dough. My favorite." I tell her. She nods and we make eye contact. Then the person at the counter says next and she turns her head away blushing.

I look ip and see that the person who called next was looking at us. Oh wow, how long were we staring at each other for? There was five people infront of us.

I tap Hallie's shoulder and she looks at me, I point to the cashier and she goes up to her.

"A small rocky road, please." Hallie says.

"I'll have a small cookie dough please." I give her the money and wait for our ice cream to come. Once we get our ice cream,  we go find a spot to sit.

"Here look I found a spot by the window." Hallie pointed to a spot on at a table right by the window.

"Ok, just let me get some spoons for us kay?" She nods and walks to the table. I go to find the spoons.

When I get back, Hallie was talking to someone who looked familiar. When I saw who it was, I was shocked. It was Annabeth, and she was with a guy. I didn't know she had a date.

"Hey Noah. Nice seeing you guys here." Annabeth said, giving me a look. She was so happy that I put on big boy undies and asked Hallie out.

"Hi Annabeth, who's this?" I ask her looking at the black haired dude.

"This is my boyfriend Percy. He came here from New York to spend the weekend with me." Annabeth said, smacking Percy's hand away from her Ice cream. 

"Hi nice to meet you, Noah." Percy said putting his hand out. I shook it and said hi. I saw Percy whisper into Annabeth's ear asking if I was the guy who was scared to ask out my crush.

Annabeth answered with a nod of her head.  We all just hung out for a little bit, talking and laughing. Then Hallie and I had to leave to go to the movie.

Hallie and I went to collage apart from each other, but they were close enough that we could see each other on the weekends.

When we graduated, we went to Percy and Annabeth's wedding. Then one year later they came to ours.

I wait for the days where I can sleep in and not have to wake up early for school. But anyways hope you guys liked this one.
