Zoe's POV

A few weeks has gone by since Stella gave us that weird news that she might move to California. I haven't heard anything else about it and Stella doesn't seem all depressed like before so right now everything is good. Let's hope that hell... I mean school isn't too terrible today.

Kat's POV

"Kat honey, wake up! It's time to go to school!" My mother's chirpy voice called from down the hall. I simply rolled over and groaned. I do not  like to be woken up from my sleep. It took me forever to learn to sleep through my alarm and here my mother is ruining it. "Katherine," she said as she peeked into my room. "Get up sweetie, you already slept through your alarm." No dip I thought to myself.

I dragged myself out of bed to pick out something to wear. I decided on blue jeans, a grey top, and a teal scarf that looked really good with my brunette hair. After quickly slathering on my makeup, I trudged downstairs and put a strawberry pop-tart in the toaster. Just then, my mom walked into the kitchen.

"There you are, sleepy head! Here, sit down, your father and I have something we want to tell you," this was usually not good news. I tried to think of anything I've done lately to piss them off. Nothing came to mind so I became really nervous.

"Katherine," said my father. "Your mother and I know how hard you work in school and what a nice young lady you've become." I groaned inwardly. "Now, I know your birthday isn't until March but since they went on sale yesterday and we knew you really wanted them, we decided to go ahead and get you these." My dad pulled two pieces of paper. When he handed them to me and I looked at them closer, I realized they were concert tickets. But not just any concert tickets...

"YOU GOT ME TICKETS TO SEE 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER? NO WAY! OH MY GOSH, I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH!" I screamed and hugged my parents and started jumping up and down. This officially had become the best day ever. I am probably the biggest 5sos fan on this earth.

"We knew you would love it, Kat. It's only because you're so responsible and we love you." My mom smiled and hugged me again. About then, my strawberry pop-tart popped out of the toaster. I was ready for a great  day.

Stella's POV

"AND DON'T TAKE THAT ATTITUDE WITH ME OR YOU WON'T BE SEEING ANY OF YOUR LITTLE FRIENDS WHILE WE'RE STILL HERE IN SANDHILLS EITHER!"

"FINE!" I yelled back at my dad as I got out of the car and slammed the door in his face. We'd been fighting all morning because he brought up California again and I keep telling him I don't want to go but he won't listen. He won't listen to his girlfriend, Nancy either or her son Max or even my brother Nick. He's literally the only one who wants to move but he still won't back down.

I knew today was going to be a long day the minuet I walked into school and I saw Ian Crenshaw, this guy I don't like who's always  hitting on me. He can be so annoying and disgusting sometimes.

"Hey babe, need someone to walk you to class?" He said, trying to casually lean against some lockers but just ending up looking awkward. I didn't respond at all because of course I don't want him to walk me to class, but I don't want to be mean and tell him that he's gross. So the whole way to biology, I basically had a lanky red haired stalker. Of course, as soon as the bell rang, I realized I forgot to do my homework for this class last night. Perfect.

After School

Zoe's POV

"Hey guys!" I said upon seeing Kat and Stella in the parking lot of the school. I didn't get much of a chance to talk to them today cause all the teachers decided to give us so much work.

"Zoe! Oh my gosh, guess what," Kat said excitedly. She didn't wait for us to respond, she just went ahead and told us. That's how Kat rolls. "So this morning, my parents were going on about how responsible and what a 'nice girl' I am, and THEY GAVE ME TICKETS TO SEE 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER." On her face was the biggest smile I've ever seen her wear. "Guys, I will be in the same place as 5sos. I will see them in real life. I will see Calum Hood's face in real life." Kat is a die hard Calum girl.

"That sounds really fun," said Stella, but her voice trailed off at the end of her sentence which meant she wasn't sincere. Something must be getting her down again. I saw an opportunity to fix this without drawing too much attention to Stella's mood and I jumped on it. Stella hates the spotlight so I have to be sneaky about cheering her up.

"Hey I have an idea, to celebrate Kat's wonderful news, let's all go to the mall and have a girls day. Lord knows we need one after that awful day at school. C'mon, my mom will drive," I suggested.

My friends rolled their eyes but they were smiling. "Sure," they said in unison and then giggled. They called their parents to let them know and when my mom pulled up, we all piled in her minivan to get to the best Thursday afternoon ever.

I still really wish I could drive though. No matter how stunning three freshman girls can be, they'd still look ugly rolling up in a grey minivan.
