Zoe's POV

My friends stared at each other from opposite sides of my bedroom, one with a stone hard expression and one with a very sarcastic looking smile. I was about to break the silence myself when they walked towards each other and the whole world seemed to move in slow motion as the two girls stopped when they were right in front of each other, looking mad as all get out. They closed their eyes and made contorted faces before they fell into a deep embrace, silent tears streaming down their faces. I almost cried myself as the two best friends hugged for the first time in almost 2 years

"I'm so sorry," I whispered into Stella's ear as we hugged and I cried like the pathetic loser I am. Thankfully, Stella was crying too so for once I wasn't afraid to let my emotions show. Her brunette hair smelled like the coconut shampoo she always used, the kind I borrowed from her whenever I stayed at her house. God, I missed my best friend. "Will you forgive me?" I continued after a bit.
"What's to forgive?"

Emily was apologizing? After all that crap I put her through? God, how I loved my best friend.
"I missed you so much," I whispered to her when we were still hugging. Her hair felt like straw from the chemicals and hairspray but I didn't care.
"Me too," was her reply and I felt the muscles on her face move as she smiled and we pulled away. We giggled at each other.
"Now the fun can begin!" I said to the other girls who had all probably been gawking at us the whole time. Now it was my turn to smile because Emily looked like a raccoon woman with all the eyeliner that ran down her cheeks.

The sleepover was a blast! We acted like children and got to be silly and no one even cared. We even did cliche sleepover things such as pillow fights (which was my idea by the way.
"Hey!" exclaimed Sam as I whacked her over the head with a pillow. She, in turn, grabbed a stuffed animal off of Zoe's bed and hit me with it.
From there, it escalated into a full grown war zone. For some reason, Stella and Emily seemed to be having the most fun out of all of us.
"Oh, not again," said Stella through her hysterical laughter as Emily feebly beat her with a plush.
