Taylor's POV

It was mid January, and the squad and I had finally gotten around to that mall date we'd been planning.

"Guy, would this scarf go with that navy blue dress I have?" Kat yelled at no one in particular from the other side of Wet Seal.

"Ooh, lemme see! I love that dress!" The garments on the rack of cloths I was looking at made a swooshing noise as Stella ran past me, earning her a dirty look from the sales lady. I smiled apologetically at her. From the stories I've heard, Stella, Kat, and Zoe have a history of getting kicked out of stores in the mall.

Just as I was going into the dressing rooms to try on a cute dress I found, my phone binged in my back pocket. It was from Dean!

Dean: Hello beautiful :)

Taylor: Haha hey

Dean: How come you haven't texted me in awhile?

Taylor: Cuz I know you have a Spanish project due soon and you should be working on that, not texting me

Dean: But texting you is more fuuuuuun

Taylor: sorry :)

I was just about to ask him if he wanted to FaceTime again tonight, like we had a few times last week, but abut then I noticed Stella leaning over my shoulder.

"Hey, who ya textin'?" she snatched the phone out of my hand before giving me a chance to answer. "Oh hey! I know Dean Jamison! He and I are working on a Spanish project together! Wait, is that the guy you told us about? The one that Yevonne used to date?"

"Haha, yeah..." I blushed and let my voice trail off. The other girls met Stella and I at the front of the store. Kat had a small bag in her hand where she'd purchased the scarf.

"What's this little pow-wow all about? We need to get moving if we're gonna hit Journey's, Pac Sun, American Apparel, Forever 21 and," Kat shuddered dramatically, "Hot Topic," she glared at Zoe, "before the mall closes!"

"Yeah guys, let's haul ass! Kat's only gonna let me and Emily go to Hot Topic if we can go everywhere else first!" Zoe already started marching out of Wet Seal before Stella grabbed her hand.

"Okay, we're coming. I was just a little distracted by the fact that Taylor was texting a boy," Stella dragged "boy" out in an annoyingly preppy way. I hate it when she does that.

"Ooh, now I'm interested. Is it the boy?" Kat wiggled her eyebrows. If I didn't know any better, I'd think they were trying to be irritating!

"If you mean the one I told you guys about, then yes. Now come on, let's get to Journey's before Zoe and Emily get too ticked!" I smiled mischievously and ran off to the shoe store before the other girls had the chance to react.

Stella's POV

Browsing the aisles of American Apparel, I was still marveling at the fact that Taylor, our shy little Taylor is flirting with a boy! And not just any boy either, the cute, muscular, football-playing, sweet jock that I was doing my Spanish project with! The others didn't understand because they haven't seen him yet, but damn, go Taylor! Just then I heard two loud, rambunctious voices from the lingerie aisle that just had to be Zoe and Kat.
