"That is where I met them for the first time. It was about four years ago when I tried it for the first time by myself." he continued.

"I got there a day before they did, we came across each other inside the palace. Just like them and I am sure they told you the story before, I met the Goddess Bastet and she helped me with a place to sleep and food to eat while I explained to her how I got there." he said then took a bite of this food.

My mind is running wild at the thought of everything.

"They got there the next day and when they got to the palace that's where we met, and we realized that we were able to do the same thing." he stopped

"And what would that be?" I asked him?

"Jumping back into time. After meeting in Egypt we decided to meet up back home, I moved here and we started jumping together. All the photos you see of your grandparents from all around the world was taken by me." he continues

What is this suppose to mean. Can they travel back into time? but how is that possible? I have only seen that happen in movies not in the real world.

"I am guessing you have a lot more questions right." he asks me even though he already knew the answer.

"Uhm hell yeah what do you expect?" I ask him.

"No that's perfectly normal, I had just as many questions. But it's better if I showed you first then afterwards you can ask." he states.

Am I ready for this? should I do this?

My grandparents wanted me to do this, to experience what they did. To live my life and try something new. After everything that has happen I might as well just take the chance, I have nothing else to loose.

"okay." I answered hesitantly.

He nods and gets up. He gestures for me to get up and follow him to the back, I do as I was asked. We walk to the back of the store into the room. I stand by the door watching him as he walks to the circle and stands in the middle, I hesitate but follow him.

Standing inside the circle I started to rethink my decision. Can I really do this?

"Okay think of a place where you would you like to go and the year." he tells me putting one hand on my shoulder.

I stood there thinking about where I wanted to go and my head was going wild but I soon decided on a place and picked a random year. "Ready?" he asked me. I nod my head, he took my hand in his and said the words "Neque obtunsis per tempus".

As soon as he said those words all I could feel was a strong wind surround us, and in just a few minutes we were gone and when I opened my eyes again we weren't in the room anymore we were standing in an ally. Cold, dark and wet which made me feel very uncomfortable.

Elijah walked towards the exit of the ally and stopped to pick up the newspaper that was laying on the ground. He looked at the newspaper then back to me "you choose Paris 1953?" he looked at me confused.

"Yes I have always wanted to come to Paris and see what it looked like back in the day, and the year was just by random." I tell him and he just smiles.

I follow him out the ally, we walked around in the streets with people looking at us strangely but that didn't bother us much. On one of the lamp posts there was a newspaper headline which I attempted to read but my French is absolutely horrible. I walk over to the post to try and get a better look at it. "vieux Paris disparu, le nouveau Paris à venir" Elijah comes up behind me.

I turn around and look at him very amazed "you can speak French?" . He smiles at me "Indeed I can. It says Old Paris gone, New Paris to come."

I wonder what that means, but my question was soon answered as we entered the busy streets of Paris. "Looks like Paris is getting a make over" I joke with him as we walk down the street. We stopped at a little corner coffee cafe on the street and sat down, we both ordered a coffee.

"So how do we get back?" I asked him while stirring my coffee. "It's really simple, we go back to the ally that we arrived at and say three little words and boom we are back home." he says with confidence.

While sitting and having our coffee I can't help admire the beauty that lays right in front of me. The people seem to be so happy and friendly, and the city is just beautiful. No words can describe the beauty from the Buildings to the people and just everything.

"Before we leave can you take me to the Eiffel Tower please?" I asked him.

"No problem." he smiles at me.

We finished our coffee and paid. Walking down the street I took in my surroundings and I just smiled in amazement. We finally reached the Eiffel Tower and I couldn't believe my eyes, the tall metal structure took my breath away.

"Wow it's absolutely beautiful" I tell him staring up at this marvelous piece of art.

"It sure is." he confirms.

After admiring the Eiffel Tower for another few minutes we headed back to the ally. He took my hand in his again and said something in Latin again "Iter ad praesens". In a matter of seconds we are back in the room surrounded by candles.

"So now the questions can start." he tells me.

"Right where do I start." I thought of the first question that I could think of.

"Why?" I asked him.
