It's hard to admit to yourself that something is wrong, I struggle to accept what has happened to me. Never mind what happened in the store that night, just everything in general it's really hard to grasp.

The forest just on the other side of town is my little hide away, where I go to be by myself and clear my thoughts. I remember when I was younger how my mother would take me here to have a picnic every second Sunday. When she past away I use to come here every second Sunday alone and just sit under the tree we use to sit and think back to our memories. But when I moved away a few years ago to attend University I just couldn't come as often as I wanted.

I sat under the tree that protected me from the light drizzle of rain droplets hitting the ground with a gentle touch. The fresh smell of the rain on the wet ground calmed me down, putting me in a trance.

I didn't realize the time nor did I really care, all I wanted was to be alone in the forest and forget about everything for a while.

After a few hours I decided to head back, apparently Elijah is making dinner and I was told to be home by 7 pm.  I walked back to my car slowly enjoying the rain on my face and body with the light breeze hitting every inch of my body.

I walked through my front door and off course Rosie was by my feet in a matter of seconds.

"Where have you been?" Elijah walk into the living room with a worried expression on his face.

"Just in the forest, thinking. But I'm here now just like you told me to be" I smile at him.

"You had me worried, but your home safe now. Dinner will be ready soon." He said giving me the biggest hug ever.

"Great I'm starving, now please let go I need to take a warm shower." I giggled trying to break free.

He let go and walked back into the kitchen. I made my way to the bathroom and switched the shower on. I waited until the whole room was engulfed with steam before getting rid of my wet clothes and stepping into the warm shower.

I was quite surprised with Elijah when I walked into the kitchen. The aroma was breathtaking and my mouth was watering, I couldn't wait to fill my stomach with the food on the table.

"Shall we call you Master Chief Elijah from now on?" I asked him.

"Indeed" he smiles at me while dishing up.

"It smells and looks delicious I must say." I told him staring at me plate. It had some roost chicken, with rice and gravy and on the side some mixed veggies.

"Just wait until you taste it, you will be blown away." He told me with a cocky tone.

Well alright then I thought to myself and start eating.

After we enjoyed the delicious dinner, we washed up and made our selves comfortable in front of the TV.

We watched movies back to back, had a few laughs and just enjoyed each other's company.

The next morning we both woke up on the couch, with the sunlight streaming in through the nude color curtains.

"Hey Elijah, lets go get breakfast before heading to the store." I told him while making my way to my room.

"Sure are you paying?" he asked with his normal cocky tone.

"Anything for you princess" I shouted behind me walking into my room.

After breakfast we headed to the shop with extra coffee off course. The shop was quiet today so we decided to close early and get started. Elijah has become like a partner regarding the shop, we work together. When I am not there he makes sure everything is okay and that the shop stays open.

"So where do we start?" I asked him sitting on the couch in the store room going through the book.

"Well the book should be a good start." he said gesturing toward the book in my hand.

My hand trailed over the cover of the book, admiring the small details all the old bumps and scratches. The book has it's own story, it's own adventures and do much more.

"Why were they after the book?" I asked him.

"The book has a lot of value, and the guys that are after it thinks it belongs to them but it can't land in their hands. They will destroy everything." he told me.

"But why I don't understand." I asked him.

"The book has been traveling a lot, and it was given to your grandparents when they went Egypt many years ago. They received the book form the God of the moon by the name of Khonsu, his name means traveler. He provided them with the book to assist them in traveling back into time." he said take a pause.

"But he warned them, by having the book a lot of danger lays ahead. By having this book you are able to cross the two world, and be able to bring back the past. Your grandparents kept it hidden for a long time, yet an old friend of your grandparents found out they had the book. He then started hunting for it, and he will do anything in his power to get his hands on it" he told me.

This means that my grandparents have been running with this book for ages trying to protect it while putting their own lives in danger.

Could Elijah and I do this on our own?
